unfortunately, we don't have any stock of the older solar panels.
They come on from dusk till dawn however you can manually turn them on/off.
The battery you need is here.
Each light will require one solar panel.
Each push of the button will select a different brightness. The lower the brightness the longer the light will run for after dark.
The batteries are replaceable and they are in the panel. The batteries are Li-ion 2600 (mAh) 3.7V
Each panel can support only one light. There is an on/off switch button.
The Chester Up and down stainless steel won't have the option to be charged via the USB cable. That would only apply to the anthracite edition.
You will receive one solar panel with each light that you order.
You will receive one panel and the light head inside the box along with the instructions and the fittings.
The batteries are in the panel. So you undo the panel. The batteries then can be removed.
That is right, it would mean 4 panels. There is not just one panel for multiple lights.
Our lights are designed to be able to with-stand the uk winter weather conditions
No, sorry! It would not compromise the safety of the light.
The more extension cables the greater the deterioration in the brightness in the light. The brightness decreases by 10% with each extension.
you will be able to feel when using the on/off button.
I am afraid not.
These are similar to the mains versions you see on the front of houses. The light is mainly used to light up a door number below or to look decorative on fences. You would struggle to read a book under the light.
No, you can only have one light head per panel. The panel is designed to power just one light. You would need a much larger panel to couple with two lights.
It would need to in sun and no shade.
You can use cable clips if you wish, some customers have done this sucessfully.
That is correct, we usually recommend 3-5 days in the sun outside before switching on using the button on the back of the panel.
The extension cable extends the current cable which connects the light and solar panel.
Please find the 5m extension cable here
Batteries are located in the Solar Panel
We recommend these being in the 'off' position for 3-5 days outside (not behind any glass) and after that time, depending on which season change it to 'p' (for winter) or 's' (for summer)
The lifespan of the Chester is roughly 4 years, they should last longer and you can change the batteries. All our lights have a one year warranty.
You can not charge two lights off one panel as the panel is the optimum size for a single light. Each extension cable will reduce the performance but this can be outweighed but a better panel location.
Each cable has, at each end adaptors to extend the distance so you'd cut them.
Currently we don't but please contact us and we would do our best to help
The switch is on the solar panel.
No, the size of the panel will only work with one light and it's designed specifically for the battery charge and light output of a single light.
Currently, we do not.
You can see the install instructions here
2,600 mAH
Approximately, Weight: 0.84 kg
The cable is clear and is in the picture, you might need to zoom in. The picture shows the cable coming out of the middle of the light at a right angle toward the panel then straight up to the panel.
Ideally, the panel should be south facing but south-west can also work if the panel is in a great position. The Chester does have optional extension cables so you can find the best location for the panel. Some customers have fitted panels at right angles to a south west/east wall making the panel face south.
We wouldn't recommend it as it would reduce the light getting to the panel, the Chester does have an extension cable which you can but here.
You can find the 5 metres extension cable here
We have a 12 month warranty on all our lights.
Yes clear in colour.
The switch is on the panel
Each lamp requires its own solar panel.
That's correct. Any light hitting the panel the light will be off and the batteries recharging. Once dark the light will automatically switch on.
Currently, we only have it in natural white. All our solar lights are LED so no bulbs and no way of changing them.
The Cable is clear and attached from the light to panel.
The size of the panel is 19cm wide and 14 cm high
Unfortunately this isn't possible
Yes, you can although please bear in mind this would invalidate the warranty.
The extension cable adds on to the current cable thus extending to up to 6m.
The cables are attached to the light. The cable is clear. Our current main picture shows the cable coming out of the middle of the light and up to a panel. As it's clear it's a little hard to make out. More pictures to come soon.
The size of the panel is 19cm wide and 14 cm high. The main benefit with a remote panel is being able to locate the panel and light separately allowing you to put lights where sun light is limited in the day and the panel in a better (sunnier) location. The design of the light would only work with a remote panel due to the up light.
The light is 186mm in height, 75mm in Diametre. The bracket from the wall is 102mm. The bracket size is 60mm by 60mm.
