The Leaf panel currently does not come with an extension cable.
Hello.
The light will charge up during the day and light up at night as long as the panel is in a good south-facing position.
Sorry to hear the cable has been damaged. We do not sell spare/replacement cables.
Yes in order to charge the light by daylight the cables will need to be plugged into the solar panel at all times, they will need to be in direct sunlight. You are able to charge up the lights by USB but not run then completely off of this. So in short, yes cables are needed.
There are fixtures and fittings included, and how to attach it is included the instructions https://www.thesolarcentre.co.uk/PDF/instructions/Chester-Up--Down-Solar-Wall-Light-Anthracite-Edition.pdf. The light has a fixing plate.
Hi Jamie, we dont have any extension panels for the leafe panel yet but we are looking to get them in the close future
Hi Rob , a full charge of a battery will allow it to last 7 hours. each night if you have another battery in after one as run out of charge the other will come to action
Hi,
Unfortunately not. The Chester light needs to be connected to the panel in order to function.
Hi Graham,
We dont have any motion sensing lights that can be daisy chained. They are all individual lights with their own panel
Hi Shona, The leaf panel would not be compatible with a previous original chester light that did not have a leaf panel before
8 hours, and the light will not work without the panel, as the USB charging port is located on the panel.
The USB charger port is located on the panel, so the USB charger would have to be plugged into the panel in order to power the light.
The light is 120 lumen.
Hello,
You can have a look at the product in more detail here:
Hi,
yes. The cable connects the light to the panel.
The USB charger port is located on the panel, as is the battery bay, which means it is impossible to use these lights without the panel.
Hi,
Yes, there is space for 3 batteries and the battery included is indeed rechargeable.
Hello.
It will be a 18650 2600mAh Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery.
Hi Declan,
These panel from the light cannot be extended
The panel needs to be located (ideally) facing south, in an unobstructed position with no shading. The distance between the panel and the unit is 3m, which means it can at most be 3m away.
Hi Ian, This may be a future development at this point each light would require its own panel
I do apologise as we only sell them as one unit at the moment.
You can contact customer services in regards to your panel not working.
If you contact them at [email protected].
We dont advise this as our lights are battery powered as well as solar powered so it's on a low voltage if you used mains electricity it can cause a fire so we don't advise this.
It is 5m long.
It's one panel per light, you cannot connect multiple wall lights to one panel Im afraid.
The cable is clear.
As shown in this picture
The panel of the light senses when it gets dark and will come on automatically. So this light will come on and stay on.
The lights in our security section have sensors, so will know when it is dark, will only work in the dark but with movement.
This is true.
its 3-5days by sunlight but up to 6 hours if you charge by USB
yes there is a cable that connects from the light to the solar panel however its one light per panel
You will need to use the separate solar panel there is not an integrated panel option on this light.
There is an on/off switch button on the solar panel.
You can charge the panel via the USB cable which is provided.
I am afraid not.
it will turn on when it is dark, dusk till dawn as the panel detects when it is night to turn on
yes, that's right.
IP44 and it is made from Solid Aluminium lamp construction
The batteries are located inside the panel. As long as the panel is exposed in direct daylight the batteries will charge.
I am afraid not.
This light can be installed on a wooden fence/ surface etc.
These are fine to charge via USB.
This light can be charged via a USB cable.
I would not recommend installing it flat, as water will sit on the surface and will encourage water staining. If it as an angle it will catch the sun better as well.
No sorry, just the 3m advertised here
As long as the panel is outdoors in direct daylight that would be fine. The on/off switch is located on the solar panel.
Please email, [email protected]
We do a three metre extension cable for this particular light.
These are not USB chargable only via solar power
The panel detects the darkness/ daylight triggering the light to be on/off
No the extension cable does not come with the light
No these are solar powered only
No sorry, thee are not available currently as spares.
The Solar Panels are connected to the light via a clear wire, so they will charge the light it is attached to. They will be ok on the same wall, njust make sure that the light of the Chester's do not shine onto them.
It is so the light can charged via USB.
It is not advisable to charge using any mains equipment.
Yes, the panel will connect via a cable to the light head.
all our lights have 12 months warranty
Yes, that is correct, if you have the appropriate cable you can charge them for up to 6 hours by USB.
The extension cables can be found here
People have attached these to roof tiles before, you would just need to drill holes for the bracket.
Yes to charge the light it will need to be permanently plugged in. Please kindly note if the light has been fully installed we can not accept the light back.
The lights do come with the SMD bulbs, the batteries are rechargeable batteries, so during the day the panel charges them, the light then runs off what the battery has gained, then the next day the panel will recharge the batteries again. The batteries should last up to 4 years, however, some have lasted longer.
Sorry, there is nowhere to place the cable at the back of the light.
Yes, this light can be installed on a fence.
There is an extension cable, it can be found here please do note that the light will only come on when it is dusk, even if the light is inside somewhere dark.
This would be classed as modifying the unit and would invalidate the warranty.
There is a power saving setting and a full bright mode and both will come on automatically after dark, there is not a 'motion dection' setting.
The solar panel is only designed for one light only, if you could connect two lights the panel would need to be double the size.
These will work well in winter, just make sure they are on the 'p' setting and that the panel is as south facing as you can. It will need a 3-5 day boost before switching on for the first time.
There are no replacement panels at present for the Chester. If you are having any issues or it has arrived damaged for example just email us or give us a call.
You can buy the cable here now!
Currently, we do not have an optional extension cable for this light.
Warm white light output
The Chester up and down will turn on automatically at dusk, you will need to turn it on to start it up after it has been charged for 3 days though.
The panel size and light output are designed for one light only.
