We have had customers cluster these in glass bowls and vases. So long as the bowl/vase has drainage so the lights do not sit in water then you should be good!

The fairy lights do have an on/off button so if you do not want them on you can turn them off, however with all solar products it is recommended that they are left on charge even if not in use.
We would recommend a full charge is carried out every 3 months if you do intend to put them away, once fully charged the battery would loose all its charge within this period (approximately 10% per week).
