The Kodiak is not motion activated and does work off a dusk til dawn sensor.
Hi,
Yes there is. If you remove the top piece by gently pulling it off the white diffuser, there is a three way switch on the underside of the top piece. O is for off, P is for powersaving mode, and S is for standard mode.

we do not have it available in black unfortunately
Yes, they can be installed on a fence.
Yes, it does have an on/off switch button.
There may be a light source eg. street light that could be confusing the panel into thinking it's daylight .
16 Lumens
All of our lights come with a 12-months warranty.
These will run for you up to 6 hours depending on the power setting and location of the light/panel. We recommend the 'p' setting in the winter.
The on and off switch on the Kodiak is based underneath the top, so this will need to be removed and then they can be turned off that way.
We have our two wedges, the Plus and Elite which come with a remote for turning on and off without the need for removing tops etc. We also have our brighter Floodlight which comes with a remote as well.
Yes, many customers use them on wooden fence posts. Please see our instructions here
Yes, you can buy replacement tops here
The switch is under the lead head/solar panel.
The lights charge in the day and are off, once it gets dark the lights stop charging and switch on.
Approximately 6,000
In summer months it would have a good chance but in the winter is very unlikely to get enough light to be able to charge. Until you try it you wouldn't know but we would not recommend it in the location you describe.
Not plans but have mentioned it. All of our security lights can be fixed to a wall.
I assume you're suggesting within an enclosed porch? Almost all windows block light and have a UV coating which will drop the performance of the solar panel. We don't recommend using any of our lights indoors unless it comes with a remote panel.
We are not aware of the light flashing at the point of low charge. The double panels and power saving mode make these lights work well even on dull days. If you do have long periods of poor low light weather then we'd recommend giving them a boast for a few days.
If the fence panel is thick and strong enough you should be able to attach them. Each lights is 0.5kg. Of course a fence post ideal due to it's strength and thickness. I would suggest attaching where the post is(other side of the fence panel)
Frosted plastic.
The switch for the light is under the Solar panel and can be completely switch off. The light will still charge in the off position
Hi Tim, Yes shouldn't be a problem mounting them to a fence post.
Height: 194mm
Width: 79mm
Depth: 123mm(including wall mount)
Wall Bracket: 51mm height
A west facing wall should be fine, we'd recommend you rotate the "top" containing the solar panel when you install it to have as much of it south facing as possible to maximise runtime.
Yes, they have a switch on the underside of the top so you can easily turn them off.
We've added an image to the gallery now showing the full dimensions.
They'll work fine for 9 or so months of the year in that position however they'll struggle in during the 3 dark months.
The top slides on securely but could be removed by a determined thief. We've been selling these for over a year now without any reported issues of this along with many other lights for years with push on tops with no problems so I'd hope you'll be fine.
The Wall mounting is aproximately 4.9cm x 4.9cm
It has 2 x 900mAh NiMh batteries. You can't change these over to Li-ion batteries and this wouldn't increase the runtime.
0.5kg
Yes the switch for the light can be found on the underside of the top as well as being able to switch them off you can reduce the brightness slightly to extend runtime.
Thank you for bringing that to our attention the dimension are 194mm tall 79mm square and will sits 44mm from the wall.
There are multibuy discounts on this product at the moment if you were to buy 10 you would save £20 so £2 per unit.
Yes, light cloud will reduce the charging efficiency by 30 - 50%, heavy thick cloud by up to 70% but the solar panels will still be harvesting light throughout the day.
As with almost all products these days, the Kodiaks are made in China, however you'll feel the quality of the product immediately when you take it out the box. If you're unhappy with anything you've got 30 days to send it back as well. Hope that helps.
