Charging behind a window will not allow the light to charge as modern windows block out up to 98% of all UV rays, and UV is what is needed in order to recharge. You can use the USB charging facilities in order to fully recharge the light.

Yes, the lamp can be switched on and off by holding the button down for 3 seconds (for both on/off).

We dont advise this unfortunately as the light won't charge or receive enough sunlight charging through a window.

Hi Kirsty, The battey is a 18650 and it can be replaced, If you pop the light upside down and rest it on the pannel you can replace the battery and also double to power as you can insert two batteries 

Yes, these lights are designed to be outdoors.
