Hi,
Thank you for your question, if you are refering to the P & S settings
P = Powersaving - This will help the lights run for longer in the winter without the real need for USB backup. Recommended for Winter. This dims the lights a fraction.
S = Standard. We suggest this setting is used in summer. This will run your lights at full capacity. We recommend this in setting in Summer.
However as Lumify has the USB backup charge, if you wanted to use them at full power you would just need to top up with charge.
With Lumify we try to establish which part has failed and replace that part rather than ask customers to take everything down and return it for testing. Please can you try the following test for me and email me back to let me know what happened step-by-step. That way we can diagnose the issue quickly and easy and either replace the part or if you are outside the warranty period, send you a link to which part you need.
1: Turn lights off at the switch in the tube
2: USB charge the tube for 30 minutes. (check to see if light in tube lights red or green. If the charge indicator light does not illuminate you may have a tube fault)
3: Reconnect tube to the light string and solar panel during the day
4: Check the charge indicator light inside the tube is glowing red or green with the solar panel connected during the day. (if the charge light does not light have a solar panel fault)
5: Disconnect the solar panel to see if the lights then come on (if not you may have a string fault. Please feed length of string through your hands checking for damage) When testing lights for the first time please make sure you are testing these in the dark or with the panel face down. Lights will not work if the panel detects daylight/artificial light.
Hi Pat,
Each set contains 20 bulbs made up of 5 different styles of Edison bulb (Tubular, Pear-Straight, Candle, Straight-Tapered and Arbitrary). Hope this helps.
We have a 5-step troubleshooting process for our Lumify lights, this helps pinpoint where the fault lies. I have got our customer service team to give you an email with these troubleshooting steps.
All the festoons are decorative, so will roughly give the same amount of light.
Both units will hold this battery
No sorry, the lights come with all the shapes mentioned pre-installed.
The lights will work when connected only to the tube, but we do not recommend that.
