Frequently Asked Questions - Madison Solar Strip Lights - White 200 LEDs

The panel needs to be in the dark for the lights to come on as that is where the sensor is. The only way to make this come on in the day would be to cover the panel tricking it into thinking it is dusk, however the panel will not be charging the batteries when covered, so we do not really recommend this. 

These are a cold/bright white colour and cannot be cut to size.

The Madison lights do have an ON/OFF switch on the back of the panel. 

Please note that the Madison Strip Lights can not be cut to size. We do have our Edge strip lights which are available in 5m, 10m and 20m lengths. These can be shortened with cut points at 165mm intervals. Hope this helps!

Hello, these are weatherproof, but we do not advise these to be submerged in water. There is no need to cover the panel at all. If we do get adverse weather just clear it from the panel, such as snow or heavy frost.

Unfortunately, we do not recommend trimming the striplight to become 2 units of 5m, as this will stop the light from functioning. 

Hi Paul, we would not advise cutting the light as it may damage the circuit and the light will not work. This will also void your warranty

These lights are a cool white and they should stick to wood with the adhesive that comes with it.

It's a 10m long outdoor solar powered strip light, it comes as one so there is no option to attach.

You will find the push botton on the underside of your solar panel. 

First press: The lights will come on after dark in full brightness mode. 

Second press: The lights will come on at dusk in the first powersaving mode (brightness reduced slightly, but will work for longer) 

Third press: The lights will come on at dusk in the second powersaving mode (brightness will reduce by half, but will work for even longer)

Fourth press: The lights will turn off and will not turn on automatically, but they will still charge.

Madison's 3W solar panel is 6 times more powerful than a standard decorative lighting solar panel so it is advised to use the panel it comes with.

Hi Rebecca, you can switch the lights off and on by the switch located on the back of the solar panel.

Unfortunately this isn't possible without soldering where the cut is made between the two positive terminals.

Generally, it's pretty hard to get anything to stick to house bricks. It really depends on the effect you are looking for but maybe you could add a tiny wooden shelf and add the light underneath or you could hand the lights on hooks? 

these are a cool white. I would try and test a small section before installing as we have not tried it on smooth granite. 

 It comes with an 18650 lithium battery.
