Thank you for your question. There is not replacement base for the Shimmer lights. 

It will turn off automatically when it runs out of battery. It doe not have a timer.

There is a battery inside the unit that will be able to charge through solar. The unit does not come with a USB cable if you mean that. 

I am afraid not, it does not come with a USB cable.

Unfortunately it is on for garden use and can't be placed in a pool.

There are 12 colours it cycles through red , green , 4 shades of blue , orange , yellow , purple , pink , green and white.
