1: Unscrew the three screws on the stainless steel surround and remove it.
2: The insert inside can now be removed.
3: Turn over the insert and remove the four screws.
4: Remove the rubber seal.
5: Replace the batteries with rechargeable AA NiMH batteries

We would recommend changing batteries every 2-3 years. They are AA 1.2v rechargeable batteries.
We recommend these for decking only! That way the water can drain away.
By unscrewing the screws you are able to get into the battery section.
Sadly not, the amount of direct sun light hitting a wall will far less than a light pointing up. Please take a look at our wall lights which are designed to be in a vertical position.

The switch can be accessed by removing the three screws and then pushing on the underside of the inner lamp piece.
Leave the lights turned off and charge them in a sunny location outdoors for 3 days - this is to get a good base charge in the batteries before turning them on.
