Our updated XT series comes with Powersaving technology as standard and includes several other important updates to the Mini London design. Powersaving mode gives you the option to reduce the brightness of the light slightly in return for doubling the runtime each night which is ideal for customers that don't have a great solar panel location in their garden.
The XT series also benefits from a redesigned top piece which houses the solar panel, batteries and SMD bulb. The updated design has eliminated the potential for water ingress and the solar panel output has been increased significantly. A waterproof housing has also been added to the underside of the XT series top which shelters the batteries and inner circuitry from ambient moisture.

Answer:
Hello Janina,
When you remove the white cap on the inside of the top, it reveals a small circuit board with one screw in the middle. By removing this screw, you will be able to access the battery.

Question:
After a glowing review which I gave last Jan/Feb Ive got to replace two tops or batteries before the twelve months is out. I'm happy to do this but dont know what to do and cant find the manual. Perhaps I have to replace the tops? Please help. Ive been so pleased with them I just want the two to work again.

Hi, Please use the 'p' mode once the batteries have been fully charged and that will work. Batteries can easily be replaced there are underneath the panel.
