4 | 0 Purchased 3 to illuminate back garden. Illumination level is very impressive and the solar panel has consistently provided all night illumination during summer. The units depend on sunlight to charge the aaa rechargeable batteries and in winter on cloudy days the spot light duration may not be sufficient to provide all night illumination. Learning from mistakes, if the wire connectors between the lamp and the solar panel are placed amongst vegetation or earth be careful to protect them from damage. I accidently cut the connector from the solar panel and had to purchase another lamp and panel as the solar panels are not.sold separately. In conclusion I rate them as excellent

4 | 12 This was for a trial to light up a very remote remembrance memorial for a two week period, if successful the Yorkshire Dales memorials will be illuminated and will be visible from miles around on top of those very dark wintry hills, don't know how to get a pic on here but the one I've illuminated looks awesome, thank you.

8 | 1 Charged for 3 days as advised and was very pleased when I finally came to switch them on. Powerful long wide beam, so much better than cheaper alternatives I have bought from other retailers in the past. The only negative as observed by at least one other reviewer is that the U shaped bracket supporting the actual spotlight head is easily bent if you do not slacken off the allen keys on the sides - be warned! Other than that minor point - excellent spotlights in a stylish compact design.

I appreciate it is height of summer and solar lights will work better with direct sunlight and the real test will come in the winter months. Product is sturdy and well made. 0 | 1 Great design and excellent build quality. Particularly like the placement options of this product and the fact a robust metal spike is included for ground placement. Purchased the optional extension cable enabling the best position of the solar panel 8 metres from the spotlight. Even on cloudy days the batteries seem to take a charge providing several hours of light. On partially sunny days during February there was enough charge for the light to keep going throughout the long night. Very pleased with this product.

1 | 0 After reading reviews on here we took the plunge and ordered 2 sets. The brief was to light a large roadside sign in rural Norfolk which was half a mile away from the nearest power supply. We mounted them at the base of the sign on either side and uplit the sign. All the wires were hidden in the posts. And the Solar Panels screwed to the top of the panels facing south. The light produced by these spot lights is perfect for the client and to say they were pleased with the solution is an understatement. We will definitely be using these aging for other projects. Many thanks.

2 | 0 Read the reviews which helped me in my decision to go ahead and purchase a number of these spotlights. A bit fiddly to put together but they work a treat. Details of how to fit the spotlight together could be better. Don't be heavy handed putting the plastic spear into holder as it can snap off! I glued mine back. The spotlight is fantastic and works for hours. I would certainly recommend these. My daughter saw mine and went on to order a number herself.

It's brightness is very impressive and it comes with the sturdy attachments to put the light and the solar panel on wall or ground. The extension cable that I also purchased for it came in very handy but the cable the light comes with is more than enough for the majority of positions. I dont''need wired external lights anymore!

1 | 0 The 2 Albany lights we bought were so good we bought another 2 the next day, They are super bright and cast a wide beam over our newly refurbished garden giving it the wow factor at night. The only slight drawback is its now winter and dull short daylight days which substantially shorten the battery life,however thats being extremely picky and we have no doubts these lights will provide many years of illumination as they are made with top quality components. As usual a superb service from the solar centre and a special mention of thanks to Suzie.

1 | 0 I bought 2 Albany lights last year for my villa in Cyprus. My patio needed lighting and rather than employ a local electrician I bought 2 solar lights . These little lights are brilliant, just added a third. At £50.00 they are not cheap , but in this case you get what you pay for . Can't recommend them enough

It has a very long lead from the solar panel to the spotlight thus enabling the panel to be placed in the most advantageous position sun wise. Solarcentre staff very helpful and knowledgeable.

1 | 0 These spotlights are really excellent for creating 'highlight' lighting, if they are positioned no more than about 2 metres from the subject. Any further than this, and the effect is rapidly lost due to the wide beam angle of the spotlights. Battery life and LED brightness is excellent from about April to September. It's the third one we've bought, so we're happy with them.

I think they are excellent They stay on for approximately 12 hrs and, given their size, give out a surprisingly spacious light. However the 2 I bought without supporting posts give out a more limited distribution (although still good) and, in my opinion, are more suitable for flowerbeds. When I have needed to phone the company for advice I found the service advisors friendly and knowledgable.

I attached the solar panels onto stakes so that they are off the ground and even on cloudy days the lights still give off a good light which lasts well after midnight. Highly recommended

4 | 1 After a few days of pre-charging the solar panel, I have now set up the Albany light. It's a quality piece of kit and I've used it with the optional short rod to create a low level spotlight. The light is excellent - just like a mains light. The only criticism I would have, is that the solar panel rotates up and down but has no left to right rotation. I think the latter is important, because without left and right rotation you cannot get the panel pointing exactly south (according to the instructions, the best direction for collecting light), unless you are lucky enough to have a south facing wall/fence etc. I've got around the problem by fixing a wedge shaped piece of cedar I had (rot resistant) to the wall which is slightly larger than the light base and screwed the base to it. So, think how you will point the solar panel south when considering this excellent product.

0 | 0 Once charged, the spotlight gives off a very good, bright light (too bright to stare at directly!) and forms very sharply-edged shadows from things it illuminates. It's proving to be excellent at picking out feature plants and trees in our garden in the evening / night time - the colours of the flowers and leaves are extra bright and intense. The front 'glass' / plastic doesn't seem to be tightly sealed to the aluminium casing, and I wonder if it will be waterproof - the same concern applies to the switch on the rear of the solar panel. In dry weather at least, a very useful addition to our garden.

1 | 0 I would rate this five stars if the solar panel was bigger mechanically I cannot fault it and the quality is excellent. I wanted a lamp to illuminate the front of my porch all night long all year round. The porch has a flat roof and faces South ideal for positioning a solar panel. When the winter sky is cloudless all day enough charge is received to power the light from dusk until dawn, but after an average winters day the battery runs empty during the night. I would pay more if a bigger panel would solve this problem.

We're always trying to strike a balance between the size of the panel, what customers expect from the light at this time of year, the brightness of the light and ulitmately the cost of the product. We feel we're more or less there with the Albany as it is however your feedback does tie in with some research we're doing for a new spotlight in 2017.

VERY prompt delivery and detailed regular feedback from courier, delivered within one hour window and within 48 hours of placement of my order. This Albany Premium spotlight packs a powerful punch and I fitted it within 20 mins with very little effort. VERY powerful spotlight is just the job to light up my garden shed. Only 2 minor gripes: (1) the stated cable length of 10 feet is over-ambitious - it is around half this length at best, and (2) the on/off switch is on the solar panel and not the light itself. Otherwise, brilliant bit of kit!

2 | 0 The quality of the product is very good and it looks good. Light output is just the level I was hoping for. It lights up our corner arbour seat at the bottom of the garden. I've put it in the roof pointing down with the solar panel mounted above the roof. The effect is exactly what we wanted... perfect. The only downside is the off switch is on the solar panel, would have preferred it on the light or in the cable, as I have to climb up if I want to switch it off. Still 5 stars anyway. The timed delivery facility was also extremely good.

They look very modern and discretely cute but give off a substantial light. They will do nicely. Can't do 5 stars yet but i assume they will last as long as the other Solar Centre lights I have.

0 | 0 The light is well built but the solar panel looks naff on the wall. Style the panel similar to the light. Also the power is not great even after following instructions to charge for 3 days prior to fitting. The light does not work well in the winter months and dims after 6 hours use.

1 | 0 I've always thought solar lights were a bit of a joke but mum and dad had a statue for their 60th wedding anniversary so I thought I'd pay a bit more and get a light. It does the job wonderfully. Hope the neighbours don't complain about the light pollution!

2 | 0 A superb solar light which I have fitted to light up our front porch. The light is very bright and stays on all night. The timing for on and off is just right. It does not come on until almost dark. The only thing that prevents me buying another one is the price. Otherwise would give it 5 stars.
