I thought there was a fault with the product as it didn't charge, but when I rang the Solar Centre they obviously knew the problem straight away. There should have been an instruction in the box telling you to remove the plastic strip between the batteries and the contacts when installing the light. Apart from that minor hiccup, I'm delighted with the unit. High build quality at a decent price. I'm expecting years of service from this. Recommended.

3 | 0 Great light. Really pleased with the quality of the product, both the light casing and the solar panel. Light is bright and strong and so far stays on well past being needed. Only issue was that instructions regarding needing to remove the battery isolating tape before use were not included, also that the light needs to be switched on in the dark for the first time was not mentioned. Only found out after a call to Solar Centre to query.

1 | 1 Yesterday the 29th August 2017 I rang the Solar centre saying that my bulkhead light purchased in May this yeà r had stopped giving light, the voice promptly told me that she would send a replacement and guess what arrived this afternoon. That is how a very good company behaves THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Hope this one is OK.

4 | 0 Purchased the Astron solar light so I could illuminate my front porch at night without the expense of getting a mains powered light wired and fitted. Although obviously designed for outside use the light looks great fitted and is suprisingly powerful even on the winter setting. The lamp itself appears to be well made and has an excellent finish to the cast alloy case. Very pleased with my purchase. If I could change anything it would be to have the on off switch on the outside of the case rather than under the glass and secondly to have the lead connection hidden behind the base. 3 | 1 The light is now up and working well, and is bright enough to illuminate our long outside flight of steps (at least during summer conditions). It seems rugged and waterproof and am very pleased with it- a good value product. Not 5 stars because I had some difficulty in getting the light working after installation, since the addendum slip telling me about the need to open the battery casing and remove the insulator strip was missing, and I was then told that it needs to be switched on only after dark, which wasn't clear in the instructions either..

4 | 1 have just received my second and third solar bulkhead light that are of the same quality and build as the first one that i bought , 2 years ago which is still working as good as new as those that have just arrived .... very good light

4 | 0 I purchased this after my old solar light decided that 2 hours was more than enough tiime for a days work. This bulk head isn't as bright, but it certainly doesn't mind working overtime. I'm a late finisher and even I have seen it go off!
