This is the second set of these lights I have had in 10 years or more first set got broke by my own clumsiness otherwise they'd still be up. Fantastic lights on year in year out. Never let is down and also the customer service is 2nd to none

1 | 0 Only just fixed these lights to my garden arch, at the moment one is slightly duller than the other but hope that picks up, too early yet for a full charge to take place. One of the small bolts was missing from one light but have been able to get over that, my second set of two I have purchased and they have performed brilliantly for the past 2 years! 0 | 0 These first look so classy I had my first pair about 3 years ago and they are still going strong ! Even been left out all winter and they still light up during the winter months to ! I have been so impressed with them that I had to get another pair to put away just incase before they either sell out or stop making them I could not recommend them enough !

0 | 0 Previously bought 2 of these lights 3 months ago and put them into power save mode on the garage side door as the sun only reaches that side in the afternoon and they have lit up every night.My only reservation will be winter time as they have no rechargeable batteries in and with less sunlight will have to wait and see.Nevertheless ordered 1 for my wife's daughter as a gift.

Apart from that they were delivered very quickly and very pleased with them. This is the second time I have used The Solar Centre and will definitely use them again.

0 | 0 Bought these to match into London XT lights I use n the patio... These are wall mounted on a small side patio.... As per the London XT they have an impressive 10 hours light time, which means in April they cover dusk to dawn in same brightness..... Marked down one star as I feel they are not to the same quality in the build of London XT post lights, and needed flexing straight when fixed into the wall... they seem to pivot around the two rods into the wall fitting... But saying that, once sorted they look good

2 | 0 Bought 4 of these for the garden, I have fitted them to the back wall which is south facing, this way they get the best possible charge in the sunlight. Easy to install, look good and they give out a decent amount of light. These are solar lights so don't expect them to be as powerful as mains installed or even some battery powered lights, but they give off a subtle light, ideal for decking areas or to light up pathways. Ordering and delivery was also good (has some right shocking problems lately with deliveries) but not with The Solar Centre. Well pleased with the purchase. Simon

2 | 0 Excellent product, easy to install and they were still alight at 6 in the morning on a high setting. The only downside was delivery to Spain. Even though the lights arrived in the local distribution centre within 3 days the local delivery company could not deliver as they didn't have the address (it was fully written on the label, including my phone number!). Could I suggest using the mail service instead of a courier?

0 | 0 Absolutely delighted with these - I bought 6 to go along a garden wall. They're not cheap but they're worth it as they are much better quality than anything else I found. They look so much smarter than other solar lights, and the solar panel isn't that noticeable so they look like proper mains lights. They also work really well - I was a bit worried that two of them wouldn't work as well as they are in a very shady part of the garden - but they work just as well as the ones in direct sunlight.

Even on the low setting these lights emit sufficient light to be comparable with powered decorative wall lights. No hesitation in recommending and very easy to install.

Having had time to fully test these items, I can say that the stainless steel casings are superb after 3 winters they really are stainless and 'rust free'. Also, I like the white 'opaque/frosted' glass as this does not age/yellow like some of the competitors clear plastic ones can do - so they all look in really good condition after 3 years of use. I can really commend these lights to everyone.

0 | 0 The light looks quite impressive and slightly bigger than most solar lights. Would have liked it slightly brighter but it solar after all. The back panel is measured just right to fix between a layer of brickwork as I don't like to drill into the actual brick. Delivered within three days and received a txt message for arrival time. On the whole I'm very pleased.

Had them delivered to the Algarve (Portugal) without any issues and have since installed them. They look awsome and I keep them on the low setting as I actually don't need the additional power. I've tried them on the P & the S settings & granted one setting is brighter than the other, but not as bright as anticipated. Think electric may be the way forward to get decent illumination.

0 | 0 I too bought a pair of these lights to put either side of our front porch. They are stylish and excellent quality, with good fixings to mount them onto the wall. Stainless steel, so I hope weatherproof and should not rust. Our house faces SW so they get plenty of sunlight when available. However, I decided to upgrade the re-chargeable batteries to 'Energiser AA 200 mAh. The existing batteries were nameless, and much lower in power. The lights are much better with these batteries and we are very pleased with the satin, opal lighting which has two brightness settings. Excellent value , and very nice looking lights!

They do give that slightly cold white LED light, but for the money are a well made simple light fitting that are good enough quality to put in a visible location (like a front door!) . Ideal for making the house feel a little more welcoming in the dark, the lights switch on automatically when it goes dark. ,and give sufficient light for finding a door key, without being too overpowering and bright.

0 | 0 While I am satisfied with the overall quality of the product itself, a simple change to the design would make fitting so much easier. The holes in the front plate are not horizontal so cannot be used as a template for fitting, and the holes in the backplate for attaching to the wall are neither in the horizontal nor vertical plane. This means you have to attach the backplate to the wall by one screw then assemble the light to find the perpendicular. Then you have to dismantle the light without moving the backplate so you can mark and drill the second wall screw. It would have been so easy, and so helpful, to have just made the front holes horizontal and the backplat holes vertical.

Thanks for the feedback. If you lights are in a poor location or you have been very unlucky with many overcast days in a row the lights should work up to 10 hours. Have you tried switching to power saving mode? This mode is design to more than double the run time, perfect for winter conditions.

0 | 0 Had two of the earlier models and the switches went but got a refund from the supplier because they couldn't exchange them. We did like the style and decided to take a chance with this newer model. Hopefully the new electronics are more robust. Nice to see them on in a morning with the 'economy' switch setting now that the nights are getting longer

0 | 0 I purchased 8 of these wall lights and am delighted with them. They look much more expensive than the actual cost. I have them on the lower light setting and they look great. Unfortunately one solar sensor was faulty and would not function but the Solar Centre are forwarding a replacement. I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Thanks for the review. One idea is you can cover the panel if you need the lights on sooner, just make sure to remove the cover once it's dark enough for them to run anyway so they charge properly the next day.

0 | 0 Purchased 4 of these lights along with 2 London - XT. They have been fixed to the new fence posts recently erected and illuminate the garden well. Unfortunately one had a faulty solar sensor but prompt correspondence and return of the unit resulted in a replacement being despatched and now all fully functional. So good intend to purchase 2 more for the other side of the garden and possibly 2 more to attach to a summerhouse we intend to buy next year. Great lights and first class service

0 | 0 Just purchased one of these wall lights. Seems to work well and was easy to fit on the wall. The fact that it comes on at dusk and goes off at dawn automatically makes it a good buy. Not having s motion sensor does mean that it remains on most of the night. I wish I could get a porch light that stays on rather than depending on motion. Does the Solar Centre do such a product?

0 | 0 I had 7 'old' solar wall lights around my back garden wall and they were needing an upgrade as they were over 5 years old (not a solar centre product) I bought just one light at first, to test out how it looks and how good the light output was a night. I was really delighted with the product, it looks great and the light is great compared to my old units - the light at night is a nice 'clean' white compared to the cold 'bluish' light from old ones. Within a few days I was happy to order another 6 to compete the replacement of all old units. Like other comments, I too could not see the 'high and low' settings on the switch or plastic, but not really a problem as the light output is obvious between the two settings (just set in a darkened room before fitting) To set to low for winter is easy as the top just lifts off with the switch/light/battery all in the top lid - so simple to reset. I am very happy with these lights, they really have transformed my back garden. I would say they light up the garden similar to what it would be on a full moonlit night?

0 | 0 Really pleased I bought these. I've put mine in the garden on the fence posts so installation was quick and easy. The self tapping screws supplied just went straight in so no holes to drill first! The solar cap is easy to use and they were well charged after a day and a half. I bought the pair of ground lights too for the patio area and along with some fairy lights and garden spots I already bought from the solar centre, my garden looks a million times better and no running cables!

0 | 0 When I posted my last review of the Canterbury I had had not such a good experience last year, with the top units rusting and failing entirely after only a few months outdoors. Solarcentre were very good and replaced them free of charge, the replacements had been modified to exclude some metal parts and are still working. Having ordered more this month I see there have been more design changes, including making them more water-resistant and incorporating a higher- and lower-output switching option. (It might help if the relevant P and S positions were actually indicated on the unit!) I've had them working only a week so can't comment further.
