The only small downside I found is it doesn't maintain light during the darkest of winter months, probably getting a few hours at best from when it gets dark before 5pm. Providing good light throughout the evening by early March onwards.

I was a bit sceptical about buying a more expensive solar light as all solar lights I've had have been a bit disappointing - but to be fair, they've been a bit cheap. However, we couldn't get electric wiring to the location so had to plumb for solar lighting. The light is located on an east facing wall, under a canopy so the separate solar panel was exactly what we needed (bought the extension wire too). It hasn't disappointed and stays on for hours on an evening (it's March atm). Looking to buy decking lights next as am impressed with the quality of the products from the Solar Centre. Just hope I still think the same in a few years.

Although not as warm as described or shown, (it's more like bright, soft moonlight). Nevertheless these are functional and decorative, simple clean design with the operative word being functional. They actually light up quite a wide area fairly well as opposed to past solars I've bought which just produce a rather sad little pool of light. The panel and wiring are also of good robust quality. (The Solar Centre is always pretty reliable in that respect). And good enough to order a second one. Now we have the deck by our kitchen properly illuminated for the first time in 18 years, (helped by white soffits which bounce the up-light downwards). I was even doing a crossword at 11 pm and could see really well. What a revelation....must be these new, brighter leds.. At last a solar light that is actually as useful as a mains version. Now looking around to see where I could put another one... I do have to say the items did arrive with a crushed box, but no serious damage to the lights in my case. So maybe SC need to have a word with their courier as I see that's a fairly a common complaint..
