0 | 0 excellent value for money, easy to install, lovely soft light, comes on when needed with more than enough light to see even on a very dark night, need to be approx 2/3 metres which is more than adequate, use one for outside shed above door and one in side passageway, very pleased with purchase, have bought solar before from elsewhere without much success, solar centre are definitely the best

0 | 0 I recently purchased one of these little lights for a dark corner of our garden with a step. The light appears well made and stylish. I fitted the light easily and, as per the instructions, did not turn on the light to give it time to charge. So I was surprised that the light came on when I ventured out that night! The light given out is excellent for the size and the triggering from about 2-3 metres away (but no more) was perfect. An excellent purchase!

One to light up as I walk down the path to the front door, and the second one joins in giving extra light for finding my keys and going in. The other two are in a very dark garage/parking area. All work beautifully with a nice bright glow to light the way. I would certainly recommend them.

1 | 0 They are working well, charging up OK in this winters low light levels so that they light up my front door when I come home from a night shift. SW facing solar panels. I was able to gently bend the light down a small amount so that there were no nuisance switching from pedestrians and cars going along the street.

2 | 0 Had this over the front porch for a few years now. It is in a south facing position and has never failed to work, even in winter. The light is bright enough to enable you to see to get the key in the door, but thankfully not a floodlight. Just right.

0 | 0 Brought similar type before from other site and one good the other terrible (bad cheap copies both now knackered) Needed to replace them for my neighbour and myself as no lights around the block of flats we live in. So tried Solar Centre ones and these are the miles better quality, easy to set up. Ours are above both flat doors and they're working far better than i thought they would, just goes to show how i was ripped off by the other company. Going to buy more for here as small and neat packaging and easy to store for other uses as they turn up.

They give me enough light to be able to see when opening my front door also to put my car in the carport, as well as taking my washing in. I am very pleased with all these products. Consequently, my neighbour wanted them.

Unfortunately one of the boxes arrived crushed and the light fitting was bent but when I reported back to the Solar centre with photos - they immediately sent a replacement without any fuss. 1 | 0 Ordered 2 curve motion sensor lights at 3.45pm on a Friday, with overnight delivery, and they arrived before 10 am Monday. Great delivery service. I put them up on two corners of our carport, very easy to fix to the wooden fascia, and left them to charge for 3 days as instructed. Although we had some wintry sun on those days, the daylight hours were short, so I was really impressed when the lights were activated to see just how bright they were. One lights the step down to the drying area, and the other lights the bin area. The light is a nice bright white light, and the sensor activates when motion is detected within about 8 feet. Also must say the Curve light looks neat, and I will be ordering more. I would certainly recommend this product.

1 | 0 I ordered one of the curve motion sensor lights on a Facebook offer, not holding out much hole that it would be better than the one I had recently got from Groupon (a different story entirely!). I was impressed how quickly it arrived and promptly put it up on the wall of the house outside the conservatory door. Once night fell I was very impressed that it was fully charged and equally impressed by the light output. I've ordered another five and will be installing them down the path at the side of the house. 2 | 0 I fitted one of these lights over a southeast facing doorway a fortnight ago. There is slight shading from a tree, but even in awful Pennine weather (snowed twice) and mainly overcast, it charged up and works fine. I tilted the unit by about 20 degrees to collect light a bit more efficiently when I fitted it. I took the precaution of sealing the screws with epoxy resin just in case water might seep into the unit via the screwholes. It worked from the evening of the day it was put up. I didn't expect the light to be very bright, and it isn't - however, although it's 2.5m above the ground and approached from the side, it illuminates the door, the steps below and the path immediately in front quite adequately for getting around, finding key and keyhole, etc. It's also very unobtrusive. My only negative comment would be that the light is very "cold". I expected this, and it doesn't matter much at this low intensity, but the contrast with any nearby warn-white illumination is very marked. I'm very pleased with this nicely designed product, so I've purchased three more, two for a relative's housefront. Definitely recommended.

1 | 0 Depending on where you are using it the light is ok if a little weak. I think the solar panel should be angled a bit to face the sun so the light can be tilted to shine out a bit . I bought this to go down the house side and seems to work ok where its darker but at the front i have it over the car in case anybody goes near but it is a bit restricted as it needs to pull away from the wall to be more effective . I bought these to save messing with running cables and messing but for £15 i could have bought a better mains light but there you go . Having said that it is fine for getting light to the dark corners. Excellent delivery time .thats my honest opinion.

NOTE: The second unit arrived in an undamaged box but the metal fixing plate was bent implying it had been dropped prior to packing. However, it was easily bent back in place and the unit is working.

I put a small band of tape round the outer segments of the lens, and now it picks up where I want it to. Other than that superb. Lets hope it lasts longer than some of the other posts

The curve is minimalist in design and I find it quite unobtrusive, however it makes a huge difference to opening the door from the inside or approaching from outside at night, the light is a beacon of comfort in the inky blackness. Haven't had it long, so I can't comment on longevity but it is bright enough and works immediately on installation.Thoroughly recommended.

We have ours east facing and they work really well just with the morning-light charge. 1 | 0 Great little light - I wanted one just to illuminate with a hand sweep rather than one which automatically gave a dawn to dusk glow as I live in a rural location with very little light pollution and love my dark skies so this was perfect and very reasonable in cost. Also like the metal body - was initially worried that the 90 degree panel angle from the vertical would be to flat to charge sufficiently but not a problem even in January. It does stay on for 30 seconds (which is what I needed) rather than the 10 seconds stated on the instructions. Just noticed that the price has gone up 25%!

These lights have given us the solution because the light they give out is good and with the sensor they only remain on for a short period ensuring there is always power available. Possible minor improvements With the push/push on/off switch it is not possible to tell if it has been switched on or off until it is dark and the battery charged. Also, when approaching alongside the building to which the light is fixed, activation could do with being extended further than the current 2m. 3m+ would be useful.

With the recent discount offer I bought three more - two for a friend who had been impressed by my one and one for me to keep in reserve. Improved again I notice. Just one little hole by the sensor which is the one to switch it on / off with the supplied pin. Was always worried in the past in the dark I may put the pin in the wrong hole and damage something. Never found out what the other hole was for anyway.

Situated over the front porch door it comes on as soon as you open the door thus lighting the upvc door threshold on your way out and as you near the door coming in. It gets quite dark down there and she tripped and fell recently. Not any more this little gem switches on and lights her way. The other is down the side of the house where the car gets parked. This can be quite dark but this light has solved that problem. I would recommend it.

0 | 0 When it first arrived and opened the box, I was struck how small it looked. Due to having a concrete Porch over the door, the light had to be about 3/4 of the height of the door. I was worried that even though it is on a south facing wall it may have difficulties charging. Three days of leaving it off as per instructions, I inserted and removed the pin to turn it on. Went out and come back after night fall and the wife was shocked when she neared the door. Bright light, key hole easily visible, Two screw holes to drill, and the rawlplugs and screws that came with it, Hey presto Light. Due to it being lower than normal, the range of course is closer. But where we live there is no street lighting so this is great. I am going to order another this time higher and away from the porch to assist with lighting the pathway.

2 | 0 This was a replacement for a previous Curve light which had given up the ghost, so it went straight on into the two existing holes in the rim of a plastic gutter. Although identical in appearance, the new unit doesn't waste its charge by being on low all night. The light is brighter than the previous model, very sensitive, and although we've only had two sunny (November) days in the two weeks or so since it was fitted, it has maintained its charge so far. I'm very pleased with it!

0 | 0 I found that you can install in a vertical position too. And you can also bend the aluminium bracket to a different angle to optimise charging. Best angle is to match your latitude i.e. about 55 degrees. This allows it to be fit in other places and not just on a wall.

This product used to have a low light mode, so it was on constantly (draining battery) but they've changed it so it works only when detecting movement. As a sign light this wasn't what we wanted. A quick call and without hesitation I was offered an 'always on' replacement. Great customer service! Highly reccommend

I bought 3 solar curve lights as an experiment. We recently purchased this property and it has three exits on the east, south and west sides with no external lights, each area gets direct sun light for part of the day.
I do not know how much exposure each unit will get by mid winter, ie why it is a test, all lights work well at this time [the end of August] we will know once we get well past mid winter if there is enough winter light to maintain the units so they can still function, I will write a review online february/march to report my findings.
I understand you recommend a south facing elevation, but not many people will have the ideal place, ie why I thought it worth a try on the east and west walls. Hopefully our feedback later will let you and prospective future purchasers know how they perform under our less than ideal conditions once we have been through a winter.
As current feedback on the solar curve, its light output is very good, as a comment maybe one with a larger collector would be an idea for areas with a less than ideal exposure position.
Second comment for easier level adjustment, maybe oblong rather than round mounting holes, as there are on all surface mounting electrical boxes would be a good idea.
All in all the solar curve is a beautifully designed and well made product. All the best Martin.

0 | 0 Bought to light up an area by main door and it gives out an excellent light but it is summer time! Will see how it goes when the nights are dark and it is needed most. The position of the light is not directly facing South and it would be good if instead of screws it could be clipped on so that in the wintertime it could be unclipped and taken to a South facing position to re-charge. Otherwise this seems an excellent product.

It's normal low level light is adequate but when movement is detected it brightens considerably and is perfect for those areas that need extra light at night.

This one is identical except goes off > on with movement after dark and no glow mode. Pity they could not make the glow mode a switchable option.

Responds well to movement. Yes, the first one did struggle a bit in the dark days of January but in all fairness the weather was appalling and there are no problems normally. It occasionally gave up and didn't come on at all, only to resume the next day. In fairness, this has been the dimmest, wettest January ever. Meanwhile, my other brand of solar cell (from USA) fizzles out late every night, and is completely useless in the morning.

0 | 0 All worked as expected, and the delivery etc. was timely. However These lights will probably meet my need for 80% of the year. I have 2 on an east facing wall and 2 on south facing. At the time of writing (Jan 2014) 10 hours of winter sun is not enough to power 14 hours of dimmed operation darkness on either wall. The south facing ones accumulate enough power during daylight to remain on until after we are in bed, but are out by the morning. This is OK for when we venture to that part of the house, but doesn't give teh security effect we hoped for. The east facing only manage to power up every few days. I guess as the ratio of daylight to night improves we'd will be OK for most of the year, but at this time the east facing ones are not doing the job. The major improvement for me would be the option for them to only come on only when triggered by the PIR. It's the 14 to 16 hours of being in dimmed mode that makes these unsuitable for my purposes. I'll probably relocate the east facing ones and go for a different (non-solar) solution for that wall.

Both work fantastically well and give a good light on the drive and garden. The curve motion lights are on the patio and are working extremely well and showing up all the shrubs when the light is triggered. Couldn't be happier. Added peace of mind for security. If you trigger one of the lights and you shouldn't be there you're in trouble............... Excellent service by the Solar Centre too - sent out very promptly after Christmas.

Went back on amazon and found the curve so phoned solar centre direct and they did me a discount. The lights do look the same but the curve is heavier better quality and brighter than the amazon one.
