A phone call with customer services soon resloved this and a replacement light top was received within a couple of days. The light is perfect for what we want to go with the ones we have bought from yourselves in the past. Thanks very much.

1 | 0 I purchased the five lights in three different batches as I wanted to see if I could first attach them to edge a block paved driveway (which I did with good success). I have the following that may be of help. Good points: they look smart and provide a nice finish that looks more than the asking price. Not so good: As per several other comments, the light section is made up of two parts that push fit together. However, the fit is not really tight enough and in my opinion it would not take too much to accidentally knock the top section off, which contains the solar panel and bulb assembly. I used a small dab of clear silicone sealant when joining the sections together and that worked well, providing a more secure fit. The second batch of lights also had the post attaching hardware studs drilled slightly too close together so that the attaching hardware had to be adjusted to fit. This is a manufacturing quality issue as the first two lights were fine. Also one light has a slightly different colour lens, being whiter than the other four. I would still purchase again, but the design of the attachment of the lens and solar panel/bulb assemblies to the post could be improved upon.

7 | 0 I bought it to mark the gateway to my drive. I live on an un-lit lane and my boundary wall is too low to see in rearview, and too dark to see in wing-mirrors. This stands tall enough to see in daylight and is very helpful when dark. With the addition of my house number, it may even help delivery drivers! It is too soon to score any higher as...only time will tell how well the solar charger and battery perform.

1 | 0 Had to wait almost 3 months. However, it's already been worth the wait, and works well on the "p" setting. My only concern is with the 'push fit' top light unit, which seems a little loose. l would have preferred a screw fit to ensure it could be tightened. However, great looking lights, which set our drive nicely and are extremely effective. I've gradually been increasing the range of products from the Solar Centre and have been very happy with everyone to date. Great service too!

Must admit I was suprised at how much light they give out. Of course not as bright as mains but for solar lights I can highly recommend. They are very light in weight.

1 | 0 I bought 4 of these post lights for my decking. They are really easy to fit and set up. The light is bright and I think that the illumination is really effective. I had also bought the matching London lights a couple of years ago. They are still going strong although a couple of the replacement heads were necessary. Still the lights are in the garden, through Scottish winters and summer extremes so I am a very happy customer.

2 | 0 I have had eight of these lovely lights for a number of years. Each year, a couple of lights have died and I was down to a minimum. Disappointed that the lights had not lasted as long as I had hoped, I contacted Solarcentre. Although well out of warranty, Solarcentre made a very helpful contribution to a set of new caps to my posts. The new caps were delivered today and I can't wait to see my lights looking at their best again! 5 stars for service, but had to trim off a half star for 2 caps that failed too soon.

Looks great and works very well so far - a simple and inexpensive solution to replace my troublesome mains-powered garden lights. 1 | 0 Before I bought my Durham XT lights I had fitted other brands only to find them fail during the first wet weather - the initial set of the XT lights are still working well two years on, so I ordered two more. The only issue was that two of the mounting screws were too short to fit through the lamp base and I had to go out and buy two new ones. The other two on the second light were the correct length. Despite this small hiccup, these are good products and I can highly recommend them.

The only problem was locating the power switch - a mention in the instructions of where to find it would have been helpful. Also an excellent quick delivery service.

1 | 1 Worked well initially, but there is a major design flaw with the toppers that allows rainwater to gather on the top, over time this milks the plastic over the solar panel rendering them useless. A small angle engineered into the top would allow for rain runoff. I've had these lights for around 4 years now, two sets of tops and now the main light plastic casing has cracked, time to look for a more durable replacement.

1 | 1 Takes some fathoming to work out the fittings for the base if you haven't fitted something like this before as there are a couple of options (drill into base or fit into wet concrete) and the instructions in the packs were more about care as opposed to fitting - I ended up searching for them on line. Agree that 3 fixings would make it easier to square, and make them more sturdy, but they look great when in and I am pleased with how they look. The delivery was on time and there was planet of communication regarding dispatch. Recommend.

1 | 0 They work fine, seem to stay lit until 3am. The fixing bracket too a bit of working out, then I realised they were not needed. To get then perfectly square the really need three holes in the base, not two. Having said all that I am happy with them

0 | 0 I received this light and placed it in full sun for a couple of days but it only works in saver mode. I have, as per instructions, switched it off and will leave it in full sun for three days then try again. Unfortunately my lovely husband had already recycled the box!!

0 | 0 Excellent service and quality of product. Due to the shortness of the fitting screws it was a little difficult to attach the post to the base plate, but I managed in the end. It now lives on the boundary of my property and the path, so it would have been nice if the top screwed on or had a locking screw to prevent possible removal by inebriated persons on their way back from the pub - it hasn't happened yet, but when night falls it's got a lovely attractive glow so here's hoping they can resist it!
