Very bright after charging them for the full 3 days as specified and very happy with them. Really hope they last for a while.

2 | 27 I had some doubts about whether I'd made the right choice as the location I was putting the Eco Wedge does not get much direct sunlight. Anyway, I fitted it (easy) and, as per the instructions, left it three (wintery) days before switching it on. When I did I was amazed by the amount of light it provided. I shall be buying another one for another dark corner in the garden.

5 | 0 I originally purchased a Garden Tap light but the battery compartment filled with water when I contacted Ella she told me that unfortunately the tap was discontinued but would replace it with one to the same or similar price which she did with the Eco wedge at no extra cost I must say that I am very pleased with my replacement as I am with all the blights I have purchased from The Solar Centre also the customer service I received form Ella was excellent I will deffinately purchase any further solar lights from them in the future Many thanks

I bought 3 to go on fence posts at the bottom of my south facing garden, which turns into a black hole at night, and i cant see what mischief my little Jack Russell is getting up to in the dark. 2 | 0 I read through the info on this and similar lights before choosing. It is perfect for the narrow passage at the side of our house. It is south facing but shady. It started to work within hours of fitting. The fact that it turns off after 15 seconds is a useful energy saving feature. I am confident that it will do its job next winter. Fitting was easy as described.

3 | 0 I have tried solar lights before and have found them to be pretty ineffective and poor value for money, so was a little reticent to buy any more however I saw the reviews for these so decided to try one - I have now purchased a further 2! They are bright and so far last for a whole night even through this dull miserable winter period. They light up the desired area of my garden (path to walk to the gate) and stay on long enough to do what I need. I have now purchased another one for my elderly mums garden.

2 | 0 I needed a unit to light up 4 steps up to the house which can be a trip hazard in the dark. This unit is neat and lights up the area well. It comes charged up so works right away. It is in an area which gets some sunshine on a bright day, even in winter but I don't know how well it will manage during the short days. It has 2 settings for medium or bright light - I'm using medium at the moment which is perfectly adequate and of course it only comes on when someone approaches.

4 | 0 Nice little light giving a really bright light down my driveway, excellent value and quality so good I am going to order a couple more , worth paying the extra for a decent product , only one small criticism is that the item could do with a support hole and screw in the bottom as a strong windy day could lift the bottom slightly although supplied with a sticky pad this would not be strong enough so I added a couple of small clear silicone dots on the back to secure the bottom half of the light , now fully secured on the wall by way of top screw and clear silicone dots on the bottom Fully recommend this product

It seems really well made, provides much more light than I expected for its compact size and has worked well through the winter so far. I like the single attachment hole so I can hang it up with a bit of wire to try it in various locations before final fixing. Very happy with SolarCentre too.

I like the fact that there are two brightness settings (as do the horses - the full setting is bright!) and that I can switch it off completely so that the sensor isn't triggered all through the night. The sensor seems to have quite a wide field so if I am just out of range it doesn't take much to set it off again so I am not bumbling round in the dark. Great light for the price. 2 | 0 Bought two of these lights to cover steps up to our property from our driveway and have used them successfully for a week. Both are within a few meters of the drive and are triggered when the car pulls in and they stay on long enough to let us unlock the doors and enter our home. The reduced brightness level is plenty bright enough in the dark because the light is a very clear cool white/bluish colour. They have also saved much expensive wiring compared with mains operated security lights. Time will tell whether they continue to charge up sufficiently through the winter when daylight is reduced.

The Mister had no trouble in fixing them to the stonework, they don't seem to need much sunlight to charge, and they're quite unobtrusive. The light is v bright even on the lower setting and I only really need it to see where the lock on the gate is, so I'd happily have a another even less bright setting. However, it does the job and was easy to fit. I've only had it for a month, so time will tell if it lasts long enough but so far, I'm v pleased.

Theres no faffing about with the lux value at which the light begins to work, it just does. There are 2 light settings and the lower one is adequate to light up a gate area. 2 | 0 I have to say I was initially sceptical such a cheap and tiny unit would do the job but it's a fantastic little light. It gives out way more light than I expected and so I am doubly pleased it has a dual brightness function to tone it down a little. It senses movement at a good piece over the 3m stated which isn't so great because it faces a public footpath which is pretty much bang on 3m away so it picks up everyone that walks by - but that's a really minor mark and I can't bring myself to knock a star off just for that. It faces south so gets a good charge by day. So pleased I've bought another 2 to illuminate the back and side paths these will face east and north so it'll be interesting to see how they charge up. That said they won't get activated anywhere near as often as the south (path) facing one does so shouldn't present any problems.

When opened one an saw the light the was produced I kept one and was going to return the oother two. Once the light had been fitted it was so good I decided to keep two. When my sister saw it, she bought the third. This is an excellent buy. You won't be disappointed. Every thing I have bought from Solar Centre has proved to be top of the range.

Nice clean LED pool of light. The build quality is very good and installation straight forward. I allowed the full 3 days charging externally before switching on, as recommended in the installation notes. Can't comment on battery life yet, but so far very pleased, a great product.

2 | 0 When the ECO Wedge Welcome Light arrived, I was dismayed that it was so small. I didn't think it could possibly be up to the job. I mounted it anyway, and hoped it would work. I needn't have worried. This little light is brilliant, in both senses. It illuminates the door lock and the doorstep very well indeed, which is why I purchased it. I am so delighted to have a complete solution to my problem, without paying a small fortune to have wiring installed. It is at least as effective as an old fashioned porch light.

Service perfect. I love this little light so much that I have ordered another and will have more as and when I can afford. I held an early Halloween party for the grandchildren last Friday night and when my son saw the light outside the cabin, lighting up the decking he decided he will be buying for his garden. He has some solar lights, but more electric lights than a pub garden, but this little light is impressive, impressed him and everyone else. Its brilliant and I recommend.

When our dog goes for her evening garden stroll it's quite amusing to see different areas lighting up so we know exactly where she is! Just bought one for my dad too as he had something similar from somewhere else and guess what? They have already stopped working and were nowhere near as bright as these little beauties. He cldn't believe it when he saw the difference with mine.I expect he'll be buying more from here now! I'm still experimenting with where to place my new one so i have put a twisty wire tie through the hole and just keep hanging it in different places and it still works everywhere. The one by my front door is only on a 3ft fence post and still throws out plenty of light when we open the front door or come in at night. Amazing little product and a good price too.

1 | 0 Good compact, well made design. Easy to fit and switch on/off. Light is pretty bright and good enough to light up a drive way/path but not flood with light. You do have to be careful where you site these lights. If it's not in full daylight, it might not charge at all or charge so little that it only works for a short while. It will also pick up every passing person, animal and car if the light is facing the end of your drive/property. Again, the charge can quickly be spent. I've tried my lights in several places so far and found that facing towards the house is best as this gets the best of the daylight and the least amount of unwanted activation. Overall I think these are an excellent buy.

0 | 0 As this is a motion-activated light, it only consumes power when it is on, which is infrequently, so it remains nice and bright, illuminating an area quite well something like a meter away from the light. Much better than other solar lights that simply come on when it gets dark and then stay on. That type tends to be useless in the winter, this one works well even with the minimal amount of sunlight per day.

They give a bright light and because they only stay on for about 10 seconds they work even all night even in winter whereas my neighbours solar lamps that are programmed to stay on all the time actually don't work for longer than 10 minutes in winter and then the light has gone. You need to have a sharp but strong needle or end of a paperclip to activate them (read the instructions). I was able to stick them to my walls with very strong, double sided tape (from DIY shop) until I can get a drill and a tall man to fix them permanently but they stand the wind and rain. Was not impressed with the delivery: on the first attempt we waited in especially but nobody called. An email claimed that the driver had attempted to deliver and had left a card: no card was delivered. On the second attempt everything was fine.

So far (it was left switched off for 3 days, as per instructions) this light has made a massive difference to being able to see the lock on our side gate and came just in time for the clocks going back (darker evenings). I am suitably impressed. I would recommend this light to anyone that does not have the facility to wire in (so much cheaper to run too). I am toying with getting another for the front of the house. Easy to purchase and promptly delivered.

The only downside was that in the instructions, it clearly stated that protective film needed to be removed from the solar panel before use. I could not see any way of doing this so tried to contact the company by phone to ask how to do this. I left several voice mails and eventually e mailed. The response was that there is no longer protective film and that the instructions that come with the product will be updated soon. As I say, the product works well - just a shame that I had to delay putting it up for three days until I eventually found out that I need not concern myself with removing any film.

Charged it up for three days as advised, put it up in less than five minutes and it has been working well for about ten days now. Had looked at getting a much more expensive mains powered solution. Glad I saved the money but can't believe I have not bought this light before!

0 | 0 I have one near a flight of eleven steps near our back door, There is no street or other lighting in our area and it works very well. It even comes on for the dogs for there night time relief! I have another by steps in the path and again it activates easily and illuminates brilliantly. I have 3 to light up our drive around the front of the bungalow so that night time is no problem to get to the carport at the side. So much better than a torch,, and they are not on for too long . And must deter any unwanted person from wandering down our drive at the dead of night!

Brilliant as we live in the middle of nowhere and it's pitch black on our drive at night. This little light comes on from the motion of the car and lights up the door and front steps. Can't recommend it enough, it might get about 20 minutes of direct sunlight a day, not ideal i know but it works for us. and we will definitely get some more when they are on special!

When I took them out of the box they didn't look anything special but after 3 days of charging I mounted them to my gateposts and the light that they give out is superb - they light up the footpath everytime somebody walks past the gate and lots of people have been really impressed with them. I'll definitely be buying some more. Highly recommended.

0 | 0 I've had one of these in for a few weeks now. I bought it to provide light to an outside step that has no borrowed light. Battery has stayed charged - despite the time of year and I have it positioned very low down so it gets very little direct view of teh sky to Charge. Although It only gets triggered about 10 times a day.Its built well - appears to be weatherproof (its had a decent amount of rain on it so if it was going to leak it would have by now). Certainly stays on for about 30 seconds - and longer if you are in range of the PIR - so previous complainant obviously has some dodgy ones. They are very lightweight - so wouldnt stand a great deal of rough use - but I don't anticipate them being kicked around. Saved me having to install external wiring. Happy.

One south facing to illuminate my rear garage entrance door. The other with much less sun exposure to illuminate my front door. No more fiddling around with door keys in the dark - the lights are very effective and stay on for plenty of time. Not sure how the front door light will perform in the winter, but I do not anticipate a problem due the extremely low usage. The lights could be fitted by a child it is so simple. Still early days, but, so far so good and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product or buy some more if needed.

The light only seems to stay on for a few seconds (10-15) which is a shame and I don't think this is adjustable? However, overall it is pretty good.

Would recommend. There was a problem with the delivery as they forgot to put it in the van. The customer service lady at Solar Centre was very helpful but this does need sorting as the customer service lady told me that I was not the first customer who had had a problem with delivery.

They are working now straight out of the box, so too early to tell if they perform over time, will re-review later and let you know. We have positioned them in our yard facing each other in a triangle formation and the light is as good as a small halogen lamp. Will get another 3 for the front of our home in a couple of weeks when we have tried these for a while. They are really very small !!

The ECO Wedge has no continuous backlight, and comes on only briefly (30 seconds) upon movement. After two weeks around Xmas, it's still performing well. Doesn't seem to charge well when fixed to wall. Think the angle of the solar panel is pointing it too high as the sun is low this time of year. Will monitor and see how it goes.

Could n't find the protective cover on the panel itself, so if it's there it's still on but it's not preventing the light from working. Next door neighbour was impressed too! My type of lighting, simple and easy without the hassle of wiring (and I'm an electrical engineer). We live in the country in an area with international dark sky status so need lighting to work well. 2 | 0 I didn't want a big light but I needed a reasonable output. I have got just that at a brilliant price (got it on offer). The casing is compact so subtle, and the blue light emitted isn't too bright, but still lights up the area well. I would recommend.

2 | 0 Like other reviewers I was surprised at how small this light was, and didn't think it would work too well where I wanted it; on the north side of a large gate post - but I left it switched off for a couple of days to get fully charged and once switched on was amazed at how bright it was. The sensor works efficiently and it enables me to see to unlock/lock the padlock round my stable yard gate on the darkest of nights. I hope it lasts! I don't know what other reviewers mean about it glowing when not triggered; mine is either on or off, which is what I wanted.

2 | 0 I live in the south west of France and electricity is more expensive per kW than in the UK so a good solar light for the right price is important. I wanted to illuminate an exterior flight of 5 steps as it is often pitch black after sunset. After reading the reviews I bought this light. Delivery was quick (less than 4 days) when I got the box I was stunned and thought they had sent me the wrong unit as it was so small ! But at the same time I thought wow if this can do the job then great as it is so discreet. Waited until sunset and then went outside to try it for the best position for illuminating the steps and for the best point for the PIR to activate the light. What a great light, it is bright and lights up the whole of the 5 steps plus the area at the top and down below for the right amount of time it takes to go up and down them and the PIR is good at sensing the movement. I have placed mine low down so it does not dazzle eyes (as in a pitch night it is very bright) this means you have to get closer for the PIR to sense movement. For my steps this is fine. Unlike other reviews the light I bought does not emit a glow as it's either on or off (I prefer that) . What else can I say except that I bought another one ! One improvement would be to offer it in other colours such as cream as that would blend in with most walls ( well in SW France that's true). Cheers, and hope this review helps you

1 | 0 Bought 4 of these lights for my back garden with a spot light they were so good my spot light got put up at the front of my house they have a lovely glow after dark and as you get close they light up my whole garden, if your after good post lights don't hesitate get these you won't regret it.

1 | 0 Like all the other Solar Lights I've purchased from the Solar Centre, they are excellent quality, and the service is second to none. The ECO Wedge is small and compact and does't look intrusive, and is easy to install. At dusk they emit a dimmed light, so even on the darkest of nights, there is always a little light. When you trip the sensor, the four bulbs illuminate the area more than adequately. I would gladly recommend this product.

1 | 0 Originally had one of these on the rear wall overlooking the garden and have now bought two more which are above head height looking down garden paths. Interesting effects when the dog rushes around, setting them on full beam. Also useful for when I walk to the garage side door or greenhouse. Highly recommended.
