Brilliant! Verified Purchase
Having previously purchased some much cheaper solar lights which only lasted a few weeks, I then bought 1 of these having read so many positive reviews, and it is certainly much more robustly made, so looks like it should last well. It was also easy to install, with just 2 screws involved, and having followed the instruction to leave it to charge for a few days, it is working well, and casts a very good light. The only slightly negative comment is that there's no mention of having to switch on the unit before being able to use the handset - it had me scratching my head to begin with.

Potential trip problem solved Verified Purchase
We have just had our flagged patio completely relaid and extended, resulting in a 7 inch step down on to the lawn. At night this, would be a major trip hazard if it wasn't illuminated, so I was looking for a suitable solar powed floodlight to resolve this. The Eco Wedge Elite seemed to be the answer but I was cancerned that as it would be installed on a low wall, less than 3 feet above the patio, whether the light throw and the PIR detector would cover the whole width of the step down (approx 4 metres wide). See attached pictures. Also, would it activate in sufficient time to warn people before they reached the step? I am pleased to say that it works brilliantly in all respects and the proof of the pudding came last weekend when we had a massive garden party, that went on till past midnight, with over 90 people attending, including a six piece band carrying all their instruments and PA system up and down in to the garden and not one person tripped throughout the whole evening. Very pleased with this light and highly recommend it.

Fantastic Light Verified Purchase
Was very sceptical before I placed an order for this light as it would be replacing a 20w led floodlight and wasn't sure if it would have enough light output,anyway I took the plunge and glad I did,I'd say it's just as bright which was a relief.The light is extremely easy to fit,being just two screws to contend with and even comes with a template which makes the job of getting it on the wall super easy.The remote that comes with it makes setting it up a breeze,I settled with mode 2 that basically makes the light activate when it detects motion,goes off after 15 seconds,which is ample time without fear of running the battery down.I found it took three days for the battery to become fully charged.Very impressed with this light,so much so that I'm going to order another one to replace another 20w led light on my garage.Would recommend these lights to anyone and the Solarcentre,fantastic products and service,delivered the next day,can't ask for more.

This is the 3rd I have purchased, the first one we had for approximately 18 months plus, it's still works great ( did fail a week ago, but just needed to clean the solar panel.). Great light, easy to install and very effective. I have replaced a mains LED floodlight with this solar version and the light is equally as goon as the pervious mains unit. To make this perfect, it would need a sensitivity adjustment for the PIR, as it is easily set off in the wind with plants/foliage moving.

Even with some torrential rain 'hitting' them, they have not shown any signs of deterioration. Infact, so impressed, I have just bought another 2 of them for the 'dark' areas. All been said, I think. I bought 5 of these lights having read the favourable reviews. Our old security lamps were all 500w and cost a lot to run especially when cats were on the prowl at night setting the lamps off. Very easy to install; drill 2 holes using the 'free spacer' and simply place the lamps over the screws and pull down. They appear to be well made and hopefully, should last. 5 different options using the remotes; we prefer option 2. 15 seconds of bright white light when activated at night. Excellent service from the company and well-priced for a superior product. I certainly recommend these units.

An excellent eco-friendly replacement for a mains-powered security light that kept coming on randomly and wouldn't turn itself off. Very easy to install - the hardest part was disconnecting the old one from the mains. Bright enough to illuminate a good area of the drive and, since it turns itself off after only 15 seconds in PIR mode, unlikely to deplete the battery even in winter. The remote control means that you needn't compromise with an unnecessarily long "on" phase as you would with a mains light, since, if you need it on for a longer period, - eg if you're working in the illuminated area - you can simply set it to a different mode

This is a really effective, the light is very powerful; two of these cover the front entrance of our house and light up instantly when motion detected. I'm very pleased. I have them on a low wall about a metre high pointing towards the front door. If they were placed any lower I suspect they would not detect movement so effectively as the sensor points downwards. And I would guess they are designed to be a little higher up - where they would clearly work very well. For me though, although rather lower, they work extremely well.

Donâ€™t panic if at first they donâ€™t seem to wor Verified Purchase
Seems to be an excellent product, bought 2, but only time will tell how we the units continues to hold their charge. One minor niggle: as soon as I took the lamps out of their boxes, the 4 amber charging lights came on on each of them to show they was sucking up some charge from our ambient house-light. I tried to switch the light Off via the remote to enable it to charge more quickly, as per the very brief instructions, but it wouldn't switch off. Faulty lamp? Faulty remote? There's no On or Off button on the lamp itself, so I persevered and hung the lamp anyway, giving it the benefit of 3 full days sunshine charge in-situ. Lo and behold, I was then able to use the remote to switch the unit off, change modes, etc. So, bear in mind that you won't be able to switch the unit off to help it charge more quickly until it's charged enough so you don't need to switch it off anyway. Would have helped to know this from the instructions. And don't lose the remote otherwise you have no further control over the lights whatsoever.

I've got a few of these lights around the back of my house. They are excellent. They are very easy to install. They work as soon as they are pulled out of the box. The light is exceptional. We have had bad experiences with solar lights before. This one does as described. It is quite bright, but would definitely describe as giving a moonlit glow to a large space. Ours is mounted at about 2m height, and gives reasonable light for a radios of around 3-4m. The PIR sensor probably only sets off at about 4 metres, but I expect it would go further if mounted higher.

Eco Wedge with P I R Verified Purchase
The lights are very powerful. The sensor is very sensitive, the remote control is excellent. It would be useful to have a longer period for the lights to shine, more than 15 seconds. It would also be handy if the waterproofing guarantee applied for different orientations. On the whole I am very pleased with it. The light levels are very good, and having a visual display showing which mode you have set it is invaluable.

The solar light quality is a fantastic product that started charging straight out the box. The two lights I purchased light an area of my garden that was difficult to get electric to. the lights are that bright I maybe only needed one, but I have spaced them to cover more of an area. What a product, being an ex Lighting Design Consultant its excellent. But does need a security screw fixing as its easily taken , if the burglars can get to it. The remote control has to be directly in front of it and with 2 metres so don't mount it too high. i.e. easily taken. It does not seem to have a pet alleyway etc. Mine has been installed a month so no issues yet other than above.
