Bought two sets of these for our new deck, there was one faulty led light unit, Solarcentre sent a new set of lights straight away so very pleased with the end result. I found I had to remove the rubber cover for the on/off switch as this wasn't getting triggered with it on.

0 | 0 I have these lights set into a sleeper wall on the drive and they look fabulous against the black stained wood. On the lowest setting we get a good 6-8 hours of illumination, obviously better after a sunny day. After around 8 months the solar panel began to play up, but customer service sent me a replacement straight away. Beautiful lights and great customer service.....what more could you want?

0 | 0 I am extremely pleased with these lights. After a great deal of research these sounded like just the lights I wanted and I have not been disappointed. I have used them in a wall rather than decking but they are very effective and so far have proved very reliable. The winter may yet take its toll but if reports are correct these should with stand our typical winter and with the option of charging with a USB this makes it even better.

The solar panel is mounted on the garden room roof with 1 5mtr extension

0 | 1 The lights and solar panel are well made and robust. They arrived earlier than expected and were very easy to install. Just make sure the notch and groove on the connectors are lined up or the lights won't work. I initially charged the batteries via the usb connection, but since then using the solar panel with no problems. They look good and the brightness is excellent, so pleased I chose these. I would DEFINATELY recommend.

2 | 2 Great solar deck lights, nice bright lights without the hassle of mains electric, the USB port allows for top up charging if necessary,. so you can put these anywhere! I have them fitted to my fence panels. The only downside is the solar panel only comes with a ground spike, I would have liked the option of a wall fitting.(would have been 5* if wall fitting was included).

5 | 2 These are great. Really easy to install and pretty bright. I've been disappointed with solar lights in the past as they're generally quite dim and simply don't last but, though it's early days yet, I'm far more optimistic about these. It's true that you get what you pay for! Just a small tip - when testing your 'daisy chain connections' (which you can do one at a time rather than at the end), make sure the solar panel is completely covered as even a chink of daylight will prevent the lights from switching on. By the way I did the initial charge on mine via a mini USB rather than the longer period via natural light (with the lights switched off) - this worked perfectly and ensured a fully charged battery from the start.

6 | 0 Ordered white set but not in stock. Alternative off-white set sent. Lights work well, have different settings are bright enough on my decking. When connecting lights some lights did not work. However, I then realised had I had incorrectly connected them. Disconnected then turned connections 180 o (degrees) and lights all worked. Had intended to leave the solar panel elevated but wire not long enough so had to place it elsewhere. I would recommend these lights and would consider buying another set.

Boy was I wrong, these are perfect, really bright clear light,I have even turned them down to the medium setting! These have transformed my decking completely, I have given 4 stars as I ordered 2 boxes and 1 turned out to be a faulty batch but an email sorted that and within a couple of days had a new box sent with no fuss, would definitely buy again

2 | 1 I've had a couple of sets of the solar deck lights for nearly 3 years now and they are still going strong. I have used them to provide ambient lighting on our field shelter under the canopy, providing some light for the ponies during the dark hours as there is no mains power. They still work during the winter months. The next set, I've used them in the canopy at the stables too. Only reason why they didn't get 5 stars is that I changed the stock rechargeable batteries for some decent eneloop ones, giving a better and longer runtime. Would be interested to see the new solar panel as I've got the original one that isn't as fully waterproof as it probably should be.

I was a bit worried about whether they would produce enough light as the battery and panel seemed small and there was no lumen rating mentioned in the advert. Installing them was very easy. The light is amazing once dark they give more than enough light to give the deck a great atmosphere and it's all free electricity! Great service from the solar centre the lights turned up on time and just in time to be fitted

2 | 0 I bought these to go around my pond as it states they are waterproof. I have slotted them in around my rocks and angled them where I want them. They are not actually underwater but do get splashed quite a bit from the waterfall and fountain. Its early days yet but so far they look fab. Very pleased. Just wish you could buy extra links to make that slight bit longer.

2 | 0 So far so good. Not installed yet as decking work still in progress. After a 3 day charge period, as per instructions, lights come on at dusk and go off at about 11pm (April). Good clear white light. On a test piece a 25mm hole is too small, they won't go right in without the use of a large hammer which I guess would invalidate the warranty! however a one inch drill seems just right, that extra 0.4mm seems to make all the difference. Overall good product.

1 | 0 Good for marking a path, steps or boundary, but not for illuminating anything. No problem with this at all. It's about knowing what the product is right for. One criticism. The chances of the wire lengths all being enough between light positions (and solar cell position) is pretty unlikely (certainly not nearly long enough for me). Surely this product should have an option for easy-to-fit wire extensions. I'll be cutting mine up and making several joints.

1 | 0 We bought a set of these lights to illuminate the steps up to a decked area. Fitted with no problems into the risers using a 25mm spade drill bit - which gave a snug fit that needs a good hard push to drive home, but won't be falling out any time soon and fits beautifully flush against the wooden frame - then connected them up Seems like very good quality kit. Waited the three days to charge the lights as instructed, and when we turned them on - wow, so bright, they really surprised us for solar lights, particularly as there are only two LEDs in each lamp. It's October now and they give two or three hours of light in the evening from what we can tell - much more in the summer though, I would imagine. We have now ordered and received two more sets for use elsewhere in the garden. Very impressed.

1 | 0 purchased one set from Maplin store in clearance section to try, put them in an area where it wouldn't matter if they give poor lighting. Amazed with the light for such small bulbs. Purchased another two sets for my main deck area.from yourselves for a much better price,and a fast delivery time. Only time will tell if they survive on the coast. A 25mm spade bit give the best snug fit for lights.

Thanks for the review. One idea is you can cover the panel if you need the lights on sooner, just make sure to remove the cover once it's dark enough for them to run anyway so they charge properly the next day.

1 | 0 Would have preferred a slightly longer length of lead between the solar panel and the first light, but apart from that, so far they are great. Very bright and stay on for quite a few hours due to the higher mAh batteries. Only recently brought them and had good sunny days so far, so will be interesting to see how well they do in winter or on a cloudy day. Most lights don't have replaceable batteries so once they no longer hold a charge the lights have to be thrown; the batteries in these lights are easily replaceable. Highly recommend. :-)

Just worried that we will be arrested for growing Cannabis plants it's like a lighthouse. Hope they continue like this very bright

If anything, they might be a little too bright (!) but admittedly, we have just had a few weeks of very good weather so I wonder if performance may dip during our usual murky summers? Great product.

1 | 0 2 small issues with the lights 1 of the metel rings around a light was folded over but was simple enough to fold back, the battery compartment wasn't a good fix but with some fiddleing and cardboard insert the lights work and look stunning! Even with the 2 issues we will still be purchasing another set. Only this time checking them first before I drill the decking. Oh 1inch drill but is 25.4 mm but a 25mm is fine

0 | 0 Really good lights will not be buying these cheap imitations from supermarkets and the like again. I have used them between a fence and patio where there is a few mm of gravel. Wire hidden by the gravel it looks great. I will be buying more lights from the solar centre...can't wait !! A+ service

0 | 0 I'm in the process of installing 3 sets of these lights which is very straight forward. Very impressed with the quality and brightness of these lights. Pity the solar panel has no fixings and no extension available from final light to solar panel. Still very pleased.

0 | 0 Easy installation, nice and bright duel LED lights. Panel fits nicely on to the end of a broom handle with a length of pipe insulation to keep wire out of sight and still Plenty long enough for first connection.

Not been that sad to wait up and see if they run out but still going at 01.00am. Second purchase from the Solar Centre, spotlight last time which works really well. Good kit, good prices what more can you say!

1 | 0 Great delivery. Panel a bit flimsy, but the concept of positioning the panel away from the lights to capture better sun coverage is sound. Positioned panel on top of the fence and lights are still on at 06:00. That 9 hours of light. Brightness of lights is just enough to show the path and steps. I had a bad experience with the brick lights from solar centre about a year ago when they failed after a few months so I have kept the box etc for these incase I have to return. Should of returned the brick lights .So far approx a month in they are still strong. Will be ordering another set next month.

0 | 0 These lights are really the best ive come across, there is 8 individual lights which seem to work all year round, I purchased during winter and they worked on shortest days, even if only for an hour, but best lights ive ever had :-)

0 | 0 Great lights, installed in railway sleepers to illuminate step from patio to lawn. Needed two sets as sleepers are roughly 12 meters long in total. Installed in January so charged battery's to full before fitting to give a good start, still going strong in cloudy jan/February with little sun light, very happy:-)

0 | 0 Had deck lights from solarcentre before in my old house and they have been great. Got these because we have north facing deck in our new house so needed to have a seperate panel. It takes a bit longer to get these in because you have to feed cables under your deck, but was easily done by lifting two of the planks. We think they are brighter than the square deckings we had before even thought he lights are smaller. So far so good.
