Foxed me a bit to begin with.

Wow, what an amazing light, not cheap but worth every penny. Pre-ordered before Christmas and got it nest day when they came back in stock early in January. Left it to charge for 3 days and then turned it on and set the sensitivity and timer etc. I have it set to be on for around a minute but when our dogs are chomping through their tea of lamb ribs, chicken wings etc. they are out there for 10-15 minutes every night and the light is on almost constantly as they move around. Even with the dim days in January (and not much sunlight) the light is still preforming well. It really is as bright as an average mains powered light and has a very good spread and distance. I cannot praise it enough. Just wish I could get a bigger solar panel for the PIR porch light that we got from The Solar Centre a few years ago. Duse to being on a NE facing wall the panel can't keep up at his time of year.

Bought the light to illuminate a communal bin stand and plumped for the Elite model for its added IP67 protection. Surprised at the quality of the lamp housing - better than I was expecting. The enlarged solar panel will be south facing so I expect it will do the job admirably. Not fixed it all up yet but the light was very bright even out the box - think it will probably exceed what I was looking for but hey... sunlight is free so no additional running costs! I do think the price is good for such a product. My only gripe is I think communication could be bettered! I bought the Elite lamp knowing it was out of stock and I was prepared to wait for delivery but that said when I did query for updates they were rather slow in responding! All that said I would recommend the company and product because it seems good value for a quality product.

Purchased the 700 lumen one first for home which was great. Easy install took about 10 mins or so. Then purchased the 1400 lumen one to light a gateway at a remote field with no electric. Wow it really lights up the 6 metre wide vehicle entrance nicely. The light output is the same as if we had a 240v floodlight there. Probably equivalent to a 150-200 watt mains halogen floodlight? Nice and crisp. I set it to stay on for about 1 min 30 secs and its been fine all over winter, since mid Nov last year, coming on and off a few times every night as we approach the gates.
