0 | 0 After having spent money on at least 4 other light fittings for this location and either not getting the promised amount of light or the light fittings failing after a day or two, i found this light and service was good delivery on time and easy to install and a good bright light even with minimum sun to charge. Would recommend to any one looking for an LED Solar powered Security light.

0 | 1 I was a bit skeptical when I saw this product having bought various solar powered items before and then been very disappointed with their performance but this is in a different class!! Fast delivery, good clear instructions in English and easy to install. After only a day charging in very cloudy weather the light given off was really amazing! Excellent product and perfect for the dark driveway where we park our cars. At almost half price too then it's an easy decision! Thoroughly recommended.

1 | 0 Bought two of these recently. Delivered within one working day, which was brilliant. Installed the first to replace an old, much smaller unit at my mum's. She's really pleased with it as it gives out much more light than the old one (which had stood her in good stead for years). Installed mine today & got to say I'm very pleased with it. Much brighter than the old unit I replaced. Gives good levels of light over a good distance. Very pleased. Bought plenty of other products from Solar Centre & always been pleased. Very good delivery & back-up service too.

0 | 0 Second time shopping with Solacentre. Products and service have been good enough to recommend and there was interest from my neighbour. Service, delivery and support are excellent. My only small snag was with the rocker switch- research on the web about the on/off markings could not establish which mark had to be "up" for on. Some might think it obvious but I had to ask- phone support- and was given an easy solution. ( It was not obvious me and did not show up in the instructions. )

0 | 0 I had researched solar powered security lights for some time and eventually decided on purchasing the 'Eye Security Light'. I was dubious as to the level of light that would be produced but upon installing the lights I had ordered, however I was amazed at the lights effectiveness. They are bright! Installation was easy with good instructions being provided. If I had one niggle, it is that the lights come with a long cable connecting the charge panel to the light itself. It isn't possible to shorten the length as the plug is moulded. No major problem, but it made the installation less tidy than I would have liked. With regard to the level of customer service received from The Solar Centre........Excellent! My three lights were dispatched soon after I placed the order and amazingly the units were delivered on a Sunday. I have no reservation in recommending both the Eye Light, or The Solar Centre as a supplier.

The adjustments re time on and lux level for triggering the light were so simple resulting in the light working correctly first time - effectively straight out of the box even in January! All in all a stylish and excellent product that gives a bright light just where I need it.

2 | 0 Following a burglary this equipment was purchased as part of adding additional property security. Although slightly sceptical at first the light has achieved exactly what I had hoped; sensitive intruder motion and a brilliant light that illuminates a wide area. So impressed that I bought a second unit for my daughters property. Only slight initial niggle was the requirement to find and purchase 2.75mm cable clips which are apparently not available from the Solar Centre. Had to find an electrical wholesaler in Kent to source.

2 | 0 I was pretty unsure to buy this (well just any solar LED light) as I thought they would not be bright enough for the area that I need it for. But I was absolutely amazed by the power of this device. It was like having a massive fog light on! My garden is about 12 m Long and it lighten it completely, though obviously the end part is not completely bright compared to the start area.

We have placed our light just over 1m high from the ground on our shed to light up the bottom of our garden, which comprises of a veggie patch and shed entrance, around 2.5mx2.5m. The light covers this area very well and is more than enough. I like that the kit comes in three parts, the light, sensor and solar all of which can be placed some distance from one another with the supplied extension kit. The sensor is digital which is the first time I have seen this and wished there were more of them on other flood light systems, my only criticism is that you can't adjust the sensitivity, only the lux and time of light being on; the sensor picked me up as soon as I opened the door; and I am 16m away from it... so it is practically pointing at the floor now! As usual, time will tell how well it performs during the winter, but I am highly confident based on other products.

3 | 0 Recent 2nd purchase (first was 18 months ago - still going strong). Problems with the sensor led me to call SolarCentre. Very helpful lady said that a replacement sensor would be sent. And "no", there was no need to return the faulty unit. The replacement arrived, was fitted two days ago, and works as expected. Occasionally there will be problems with a purchase, especially with electronics. I cannot find fault with how SolarCentre assisted me. btw. These lights were taken to, and fitted on, a property in Sweden. So the units can survive sub-zero temperatures.

Everything about my order was well done - good comms, excellent delivery, fair price, easy to install...... but .... the area I need to cover with light is obviously too big for this (5m x10m) - and it only just gives more light than a full moon. Not really a floodlight.

1 | 0 The light was despatched promptly and received in good order. Easy to assemble, given I had a specific mount to which it needed attaching. Over the course of the first three nights of operation it was apparent that the sensor was malfunctioning, turning the light on and then not turning the light off after the allotted time. Emailed Luke in Customer Service who dealt with the matter swiftly promising to despatch a new sensor which we are now awaiting. The light itself is bright and meets the requirements for which we purchased the product.

Half this price I would have expected what I got. Saying that, the light has been up a few weeks and is working well. No complaints about the light, just the price.

Unfortunately this didn't work, but the speed with which Solar Centre dealt with the issue is to be commended. Our 2nd light now works brilliantly.

0 | 0 I've had this for over a year but the sensor part failed for an unknown reason and a replacement was snet to me without any problem from the firm. GOOD! Fotted it and the system worked almost better that previously. I ordered another complete set and have just finished installation and, as its dark, tested it. Excellent! I would award 5 stars. I advise people on solar installations (pv panels on roofs) so understand fully how these systems operate. Well Done! Michael Gaze

0 | 0 I bought one of these last autumn and was so pleased that it kept working all through the winter including the dark short days that I have just bought a second one. Now i have one to see the horses when I feed them and another in the feed room. sensors are set by the door so they only come on when i walk in to feed. The light is as bright as if I had a mains light but there is no mains to the stables! Brilliant, would highly recommend..

While, as other reviewers have said, some of the screws are difficult to get at when installing, it has been up for about two months now, works perfectly and gives far more light than I expected. The real test for me will be whether it stays waterproof as it is mounted in an exposed position. However, so far, so good.

The bracket for the light is much too fragile for external use in the south of Ireland where there is considerable wind all the time and very strong wind frequently. 3. Other than the above, it seems to be very durable equipment and I am looking forward to putting it into use over the next few days. 4. Typically installed it just as the weather broke in November but with with limited light available during the day the product still delivers good visibility in my garden. I can now see what the puppy is up to !!

0 | 0 Now it's up, the light is great and sensor works very effectively, picking up movement at quite a distance from the unit. It's all that I was looking for. However, installing it was considerably more fiddly than it really should have been as getting access to some of the screw points on the panel and light baseplates is very difficult part-way through the installation process. It's still worthwhile, though!

The wiring between the solar panel and light is a far smaller cable requiring 2.5 to 2.75mm clips which have proved difficult to get hold of - still waiting for them to arrive. Solar Centre, to my surprise, do not see a problem?

0 | 0 Neat and compact. Turned it on out of the box and it is much brighter than I anticipated. Solar Centre were also very prompt in answering a small technical question I asked before ordering. The postal costs are a bit high as we live in Italy but there are very few comparable products available here in spite of the fact that Solar would seem to be logical given the amount of sun we get here. I needed something waterproof as when it rains here - boy does it rain!!

1 | 0 Initially I was impressed, it was easy to install and the light was very bright. Then after some time it let in water and the lights became diffused to such an extent that it did not provide much light at all. I think the water came through the on/off switch button which was covered but badly glued. It is not possible to open the light so now it's useless.

0 | 0 As with previous review for product from Solar Centre Ordering was simple, communications were very good, dispatch and delivery were also very prompt. The brightness from the security light is better than I anticipated but I have doubts on the digital sensor and the distance of 12 meters sensitivity I would say closer to perhaps 8 meters. Overall I am happy, setting up was simple and plenty cable to set the solar panel in a good position to catch as much sun as possible.

0 | 0 I bought the Evo 36 to replace the Evo 15 which had stopped working. The connection of the latter one had corroded but the connections of the 36 model seem much better and the light emitted is certainly brighter and the censor can be better directioned as you want it.

0 | 0 Delivered promptly, instructions are easy to follow. the motion sensor is easy to set-up too, not like the old analogue potentiometers on earlier floodlights. Provides a good amount of light. The light bracket though is a bit flimsy and cannot be tightened in certain positions.

0 | 0 This light is just what I needed. it holds it's charge all night so that when I go to feed the horses in the morning it still lights the shed so that I can see to feed and muck out as if it was on mains electricity. The sensor is set so that it turns on when I walk through the door, not when the horses walk around, brilliant! I wish I had bought one long ago, beats balancing torches to work by!

0 | 0 After reading some reviews I ordered the Eye Solar security light. I was so pressed with the power and light output that I now have 4 of these. Solar Centre are a great company to deal with, although an initial delay due to being out of stock (probably due to high demand for this great product). Subsequent orders were despatched immediately and telephone calls to the company are dealt with politely and promptly. I will certainly continue using Solar Centre.

0 | 0 Pleased with fast delivery time exceeding expectations. Not too difficult to install and currently working well despite poor weather conditions with little sun. Important to place solar panel as south facing as possible. Good powerful light.

0 | 0 This light replaces a cheaper solar light that I installed at the side of my house approx 2 years ago. It is approximately twice the price of my previous light but having installed it I can honestly say it is more than twice the light as well. Very easy to install & the quality of the light is very good. I'll hopefully remain very impressed as time goes on.

0 | 0 Dear Solar Team, I received the light before Christmas (very speedy delivery) but only had chance to fit it yesterday(28/12/13) read instructions and checked location on my workshop and started installation, very precise instructions and the installation was very straightforward.Works well and I'm very pleased

0 | 1 To whom it concerns... I had bought one of these lights some months ago, this was to check out how good the light really was ?? I was amazed at how bright the light was from eye solar security light I was so impressed, I went on to purchase two more lights which I will put in my drive way for security reasons the fantastic thing about these lights is ??.... no running wires up or down walls or calling electrician to fit them no extra hike in you electricity bill every month, that's a nice bonus to.... I must say very happy with my purchase

0 | 0 Bought it because we live on the edge of a village, with no street lights, and wanted a 'green' alternative to outside lighting for visitors or when we come home after dark. Installed in the depths of winter, but it still works - even after cloudy or foggy days. Gives very good illumination to our paved area with steps to the side door, so we are well pleased with its practicality. The only slight criticism is that it looks a bit industrial and doesn't blend in very well with the cottage garden trellis it's installed on. Otherwise it does the job handsomely.

0 | 0 Great product as I needed some non mains powered outdoor lighting. Simple to install, connect and adjust. A decent flooding of light when activated too. I bought a pair of 'Eyes' and will happily buy more if they are required. Only negative was that some of the rawl plugs were damaged beyond use. No problem in sorting that minor issue though. Thanks

0 | 0 My initial impressions are very favourable, well made and operates exactly as it says 'on the tin'. The above comes with a note of caution as I have other solar lighting which worked well for a year then failed due to the ingress of moisture corroding the electronics. I will let you know in a couple of years.

0 | 0 I bought 3 of these for an off grid stable yard. All worked well and will probably buy some more. Things I liked were as follows- sensor had a cable which allows you to position it away from the main unit. This is very useful as I wanted to illuminate a gate area but didn't want the horses to set it off (so positioned the sensor around the corner). The solar panel also has a long extension cable so was able to put panel on the roof well away from shade and have the main light unit where I wanted it. I also liked the digital programming function with small LED showing which program you have set for timing and lux. This was an improvement on the normal twist controls. I've bought and owned a few of these types of lights in the past and can certainly say this is the best designed and most flexible for mounting options. Can't say how well it will last as only just put it up, but looks well made

1 | 0 Light seems to work well. The instructions could be improved. I had to remove the bracket before mounting the solar panel. Also, the instructions say the motion sensor can be mounted up to 5 metres away from the light. This is incorrect, as the cable supplied is nowhere near this long. But overall, quite a good product.

0 | 0 Really impressed with the design of this light. I have it mounted just before the corner of my wall and turned to 45 degrees to light a corner area. My sensor is cheekily hidden away from the light and the panel and points to the only place you can get access to my garden. Agree with the other reviews that the light looks good too.
