Good prompt delivery of my order. The lights have a clean smart appearance, and my customer is very pleased with them. I am not so sure about the internals, particularly the switch! Only time will tell.

Had one of the four I ordered not gone wrong after one day I would have been more impressed.I was a little surprised that the unit housing the solar cell and battery sits so loosely on top of the unit, but it seems to work and I have not noticed any water ingress so far. One unit worked for one day and then started flashing intermittently - is that down to water ingress? I don't know. They are not particularly bright. They are OK as bright marker lights but do not really provide much illumination.

0 | 0 My order was received almost in a timely manner, delivery company let me down, although I did manage to pick the lights up from their depot. The lights are easy to construct although not brilliant quality, the solar top does not fit securely to the body, it fits but not what I would call secure. That said, I charged the lights as per the instructions and since set-up they have worked well and continue to do so. If the Solar Centre can address the quality issue I would certainly buy some more.

2 | 0 Very nice lights, they look good and are easy to manage. Just bought my forth set. As another reviewer said the base spike screws don't go in straight but as spikes hidden in the soil it doesn't detract. Quick delivery and they answer the phone.

0 | 0 Delivery very prompt on standard service. Too early to say how they will stand up to being in a coastal garden but they do look nice with very clean lines. Unfortunately the thread on one of the spikes was not straight and so the lamp wobbles and isn't secure in the soil. Don' think it will survive very long in the coastal wind. Also we ordered and paid for 4 packs of 2 but there were only three in the box. As we had asked for them to be left in a safe place and didn't receive them personally it would be impossible to prove it and realise that is our responsibility but just a warning to others not to do the same.

0 | 0 excellent customer service. My lights arrived as pre arranged no problem. However one box was quite badly damaged and a light post was visible. It does not appear to be damaged but only time will tell. I cant comment on how they work yet as they are currently charging. But they appear to be made well, solid construction and look great in my garden. May have to order a smaller set for my borders!

0 | 0 I reviewed these lights in February 2015 and think it's only right that I review them again. When I bought them I must say they took a while to get going. In hindsight I think it was probably the time of year I put them in the garden. As the weather is now much sunnier and lighter they are working perfectly. They look good and I'm now thinking I may buy some more. I had to set the record straight and would definitely recommend them.

0 | 1 Attractive to look at and functional. I have equipped one with a power saver head but I'm not sure which one (the heads look identical), as both lights have charged sufficiently on sunny March days to shine throughout the night. Recommended, and I might well buy another pair.

0 | 0 Firstly a warning, they do need 3 days to charge up but after that we were like kids turning them on and waiting. They are far brighter than we ever expected and light up are pitch black path way, so now a head torch is no longer required. A house near us has the cheaper version (4x £10) from DIY stores, which made us worry these would be similar, but they are not and well worth the money, we liken them to hotel pathway lighting. The only negative is water sits on the top, but this so far hasn't gone into the main unit.

1 | 0 I have bought six of the London posts now and have found the following. On the plus side, they look quite nice along the path. Their appearance is good. There are a few design flaws. The most significant is the duration for which they remain lit. As Chris Webb notes below, in the winter at least they only last, at best, for a couple of hours after coming on. Usually about an hour and a half. The power save heads improve this to around four or five hours but adds c£20 to the pack price. Their design means rain water stays on the head until it evaporates off which probably reduces the energy absorbed by the solar panel, in turn reducing the battery charge. A better design might slope the solar head to avoid the water problem and also enable the solar panel to be directed towards the sun which might increase the charge. The spikes attach to the body via a tread length of c.1mm. This has very little mechanical strength and an internal nut/washer would improve this. The head appears to be of low manufacturing quality: a battery change requires the removal of the internal PCB and the wiring / soldering doesn't appear very robust. Overall I think they have been build to minimise cost of production and contrary to the literature that is reflected in the product

0 | 0 The product is well made and exactly as described. The delivery was very fast and painless and the packaging good. Unfortunately the arrival of early darkness and long nights revealed that the lights did not throw a beam any distance and by 10 o'clock they had faded to not much more than a glow. They didn't do what I hoped for (illuminate a stone step in our path as guests leave late at night) but perhaps I was expecting too much. OK for midsummer I'd guess, but not for a northern night!

Tried to phone and email company first to check they were what I needed, but phone permanently engaged and no response to email, so took a gamble. In full sunlight in winter, they give about three hours light before getting too feeble. This might well be what you expect from solar lights and my quarrel isn't with the lights themselves (high build quality) but with the lack of/difficulty of getting info on performance before buying. Website should show typical performance winter & summer.

0 | 0 These are the brightest solar lights I have ever bought. Although I wasn't aware they had a rechargable battery in them. This is how they work, the solar power recharges the battery and a sensor turns them on then dark enough. Cool and works well 10/10.

0 | 0 These are beautiful lights. Worked within a few hours of charging and give a bright, even light - incredibly bright - which lasts right through from dusk until dawn. They're not the cheapest on the market but prove the point that you get what you pay for! We were so pleased with the first 2 we bought 2 more, and I'm now trying to think of places to put even more, though there's always the danger of making the drive look like a runway, and we are on the Manchester flight path (!)

There is enough light that I would have preferred that it had a transparent tube about half the height still with the conical reflector, rather than the opal one. With that and mounted at twice the height, you get a useful pool of light on the ground and no glare for the poor old cataract sufferer.
