Strange how a quality product can present itself immediately you set eyes on it. All about these lights is wonderful ( maybe an option for warm white may be a good idea). Fitted them inside and at the top of 2 legs of our Gazebo to down light into the hot tub with great success, the PV fixed to the outside roof line facing south.

5 | 0 I bought these solar spot lights as my old mains ones had bitten the dust long ago and I didn't want to pay for an electrician! Delivery was super fast and we charged up the unit right away - the instructions say to charge for 3-5 days but we used them that night and they were really bright. The one slight criticism is that the on/off switch is not a rocker switch, it's a push in and out but we couldn't tell the difference between the settings and ended up putting it on when it should have been off (or the other way round). Apart from that slight uncertainty (we waited until it was dark and then changed the setting when we thought the lights should have come on and bingo they did!) we've been delighted with them and I'm thinking of buying another set.

5 | 0 These are very well made spot lights. Extremely easy to assemble. They project quite a bright intense light, ideal for uplighting shrubs and highlighting a garden figurine (for me) . They seem to work well even though daylight sunshine hours have been limited since my installation (early March). So far very pleased....

6 | 0 I'm always sceptical when it comes to solar lights but the Selene Solar Landscape Spotlights are excellent. They're very bright and where still on at 3 am when I woke up (They turned on at ~8:30 pm) Time will tell in the depths of winter but up to now I'm more than satisfied.

5 | 1 This is our second set of these lights as the first do such a good job. They're well made and deliver light year round. We use them to highlight flower beds and feature trees. They are more expensive than some options but we've found last longer than cheaper units we've tried.

Lasts all night but has an easy on-off switch if you just want to use it for an entertainment area. Highly recommend these.

Compliments the other SolarCentre lights i boughtfor the garden. Cheaper to but direct than local store or John Lewis. Highly recommended.

1 | 0 The lights and solar panel work well. The only negatives I would give this item are: 1. It is a 5 metres cable, however the cable splits at 2.5m to each light. Ideally I would have liked more metres from the solar panel to the split - or at least the opportunity to decide when the split occurs. 2. The lights come on automatically at dusk but it would be nice if you could turn them on earlier if you wanted. I would recommend these lights and also the extension cable which gives you that extra bit of cable so you can get the solar panel in a good location.

Subsequent nights varied dependant on the previous days weather, which is hardly surprising. With a bad English spring day (and we get a lot of them) they will only last 3 hours. 2 | 0 we now have 2 sets of these and bought a third as a gift for someone. They are surprisingly strong (though have only used them this summer so far). We do charge the panel for a good few days before first use. My only slight niggle is wishing the cable was longer. Have now bought an extension cable so will see what that is like. The company is good, with excellent customer serve and prompt free delivery. We have bought several other products from them (motion activated security light, which is astonishingly bright, even in winter) and some outdoor fairy lights

1 | 0 Have yet to test in winter months (hence only 4/5), but the light from use after brighter days is very strong. We have them on our roof and use them as spotlights around the outside of the house. They're not as bright as an electric floodlight, but they do light up a decent sized area enough to see everything clearly. Lasts around 5-6hours at that strength, although I've not measured it through the night. Very pleased and will be buying more.

1 | 0 Very bright lights that look great in my garden - now on my 4th set - the others are still working. The only problem is that after a couple of years the on/off switch on 2 off the sets failed resulting in the lights not coming on - it is easy solve this by removing the switch and connecting the 2 sets of wires direct.

0 | 0 Delighted with these lights. Really well made and bright. You won't be disappointed. The biggest LIMITATION is the distance from the panel to the two lights. This is generous if you are using the spots within 4 or 5 meters of the solar panel but too short if you want to use them say 10 meters away because there is only one feasible location for the solar panel(s). This is my situation. If a 10 meter extension was available I'd have bought several sets.

0 | 0 At full charge this light are bright! but initially...the full charge in my case didn't come to 3 days of light from the sun, but from 3 hour of charge with a dedicated charger(I have it for Vape devices) . The Sun positioning the Panel in the more suitable spot of my garden is able to keep them up to ...well 60% of theyr top but it is enough in my case I wanted to see the garden but not illuminate it bright. Solar panel detached , batteries that can be changed or recharged in emergency. makes this a default light to have if you look for a spot. don't like the split connection of cables , but could be hacked.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ** Only had them a couple of weeks, and followed instructions for letting initially charge for 3 days before use and WOW amazed at how bright they are, I can't fault them. Definitely spot lights. Don't buy cheap rubbish as they won't last. I've now bought 3 different types of lights from this supplier and they're all very good, I'm amazed at how good the solar lighting is. Don't buy cheap - Buy the Best.

0 | 0 I required a last minute fix to down-light my Buddha water feature without having to tap into the mains supply. After reading the reviews on here, I thought why not give these bad boys a try and put my faith into our English sunshine (or lack of it sometimes!) What can I say... Ensuring the panel faces South, a few screws later and a few cable clips (my personal addition), to tidy up a very generous length of cable and boy do they do the trick! Highly recommended, I'll be using this ECO friendly option moving forward. Thanks guys

Length of time - excellent Strength of illumination - excellent Length of cable (@5m) - excellent Access to on/off button - poor (solar panel position outside barn at head height away from animals) Ability to switch light on at the point of illumination would make this a first class product rather than on the solar panel as I don't want the light pollution of a light on all the time. If that is not a problem for you then I give it my thumbs up.

0 | 0 This is the third item I've bought from SolarCentre and the quality is well above other kits that you can get. The solar panel is a good size and after leaving it on for the recommended five days (of very dull skies) I switched on the unit. The pair of spots light up a dragon feature that we have in our garden and they do the job very well. The battery lasted through the entire first night (last night), so I will be interested to see how long I get tonight as it rained continually all day today. (Barbara is to blame apparently). The cables are are good lengths (5mtrs) so you can light up two different areas up to 10mtrs apart. The only improvement I would like to see is an option to charge by USB. I'm sure that this unit will do well in the longer days, but at this time of year a USB charge point is good to have.

0 | 0 I purchased the spotlights to illuminate a statue under a pergola. The lights which have a nice feel of quality, are near perfect for my purpose. The first night they remained on all night, presumably because the batteries were fully charged, subsequently they are only on for 4-5 hours even with the solar panel mounted on top of the pergola. 5 metres of cable give good positioning flexibility, my lights and panel are however fairly close so I have nearly 5m of cable wound one light and 3m round the other. Despite these comments I am still very pleased with the product.

The cables are of a good length but ideally they could be 5 feet longer. So far they have illuminated at full strength all night.. In terms of price, build quality and strength of light these spotlights are first class and I would highly recommend them. The service from the Solarcentre was very good with next day delivery.

Although we have after 2 years got one slightly "tappy" collector - probably a loose connection caused by the intense summer heat. I would have liked to order the spare solar collectors for this, but they are currently not in stock, so I have ordered two more sets of two - to be spares.

Would have been 5 stars but I would have liked the option to just use 1 light or an extension as 1 is enough for 1 flower bed and I could have lit the other side of garden if there was an extension from the panel but I knew the size so I will get more. Much better than my old lights.

Even on dark, cold winter day the lights was on for about 6hrs (about 10pm) and spring is just round the corner it's stays on pretty well all night. 4 out 5 as would be great to have the option to add an additional panel for winter months.

8 | 1 I cannot comment on the service as these lights were bought from a garden centre. The quality and construction of the spots is excellent. However, the battery charge is appaling. Even with correct positioning and a 5 day charge, you are lucky to get more than 90 mins from them unless the day has been 100% sunshine. This is very poor bearing in mind the 'works in winter' line. I have a 3 year old system from a national chain of builders suppliers that gives 2 to 3 times greater duration of light for a similar price. Improve the battery or solar cells please

8 | 1 The lights were delivered promptly, no issue there, however I have been disappointed with the amount of light from the spotlights. I assume they will be more powerful in the summer following exposure to more sunlight however they are advertised as being suitable for winter use in the UK.

These are more than a spotlight. The system is so easy to install takes 5 minutes, really sturdy. (Remember to charge the system for 5 days before using it. the panel comes charged a bit, but after a full 5 day charge it will keep going). Amazing. I would highly recommend this product. The after care service is excellent. I had to call through and was assisted professionally. Delivery was fast. Don't look anywhere else!! I've recommended these to friends and they love them.

I have taken a photograph because no product guarantee is offered with the product , is there a problem ??. As a ' good idea ' I have enclosed the cable in a plastic pipe (that type used by electricians ) to eliminate damage by spades or animals .

The lights are fixed in the tree and so invisible in daylight hours.The solar panel is mounted in the sunshine and is small enough not to be obtrusive. 3 | 0 So pleased with these lights. Having the solar panel remote means it can sit in sun whilst the lights are used in shade (seems so obvious really). The panel is in the top of a tree and the lights are under the trees meaning they get a good charge and then have maximum effect at night. The ability to change the batteries gives them a vastly increased life span and the light is amazingly bright, even in a city centre garden which is far from dark at night thanks to the local LED street lighting. Couldn't be happier to have spent that bit extra and I will definitely be back to Solar Centre in future.

Ordered them being a little sceptical (being solar powered) and thought "let's see how these compare to mains powered". I tell you what, these lights work incredibly well, you'd think I flick a switch on every evening as there performance is excellent. Strong, bright light all through the night highlighting areas that I've directed them at. I've fit mains powered lighting in the garden also, wish I'd gone for solar from the off, as they come on at the perfect time in the evening. Switch to turn lights on and off on the back of the solar panel, which is great also. Very impressed and well worth the money! Okay, I have a south facing garden, and admittedly it is May, but I have every confidence that these lights will work well in the winter and stay bright past my bedtime. Being able to place the solar panel in a decent position to avoid shade is great too. Build quality is very good and quite robust. I'd have no problem in reccommending them! 5 stars!!!

They seem to hold their charge for a long time (well after bedtime) and have a warm, strong light reaching into one tree about 20ft up; with the other I lit a Robinia and the shiny leaves look fantastic lit at night. The only teething problem was the on/off switch is not very clear as to which is which - trial and error, once charges and in the dark, sorted that out.

2 | 0 these are well worth the money……my first set of solar lights - they are bright - just remember to position solar panel in a good spot. The light is a soft white, with which i was really pleased with. Its not stark white. I have illuminated the bushes in our garden. A good product.

The lights themselves were as expected and simple to set up, have only been used for a couple of nights so far, and being at the height of the long days hard to tell how long they will last on a charge but first impressions are good and overall very happy with purchase.

2 | 0 Although these spotlights are sturdy and well made, there was an issue with mine as the nut and bolt did not quite line up so took some force to get them to connect. Eventually I managed it but it was not easy. The plastic moulding cover is not quite fitted centrally so that the hole in the nut is off centre. The lights themselves are not quite powerful enough to illuminate much beyond six feet or so and the spread of the beam is rather limited. What Solar Centre need to do is to market a broad spread sort of footlight to enable the illumination of larger areas such as bushes.

2 | 0 We ordered a further three sets after being impressed with the quality and brightness of the 1st set we received. Although the lights work fine the metal casings on these sets were rough and the units didn't fit together quite as well - one set was even touched up with black marker. We kept them as the units will be deep in borders and unseen but fingers crossed they last as long as old mains lights

2 | 0 Its a shame that you cant get more styles in this range because as solar lights they are the best I have seen. Most solar lights just dont cut it, because of their tiny panels. These spots are bright enough to light the lower portion of a tree and add a little magic into bushes. The cable is a nice length too.

2 | 0 We bought these as part of a refresh for a mature garden. We have had two sets of expensive electric lights in the last 15 years and decided to try solar for the 1st time, mainly for long term cost/environmental reasons. We have placed under bamboo and trees around our pond and were surprised at how bright they were. Obviously not as bright as an electric light, especially after a dull day but we are still determining the best location for the solar panel and will be buying a few more sets. The slight dip in brightness is more than acceptable for the huge plus points - versatility in locating them and running costs.

We're in the south of France so lack of sunshine isn't a problem but even that being the case, my husband was impressed with the strength of the light emitted. Good buy and heaps cheaper than an electric version!

Was amazed to see that on first use, after charging as recommended, lights stayed on for 12 hours before daylight switched them off. Only adverse comment is that because the units are hard wired it is not possible to feed wiring behind pipes etc. if wall mounting.

After reading the reviews I purchased a set of these spotlights this week to light up a large willow in the back garden. Wow! it looks really fabulous..........had to keep going and looking at it through the dining room window. These lights are well made, easy to use and are exactly what I was looking for. What's more,, because we are using the spikes, they are very 'moveable' tried them illuminating the silver birches tonight - the white bark looks amazing so I am buying another set...............somehow I don't think it will be the last!! It's quite amazing how magical the garden looks - thank you -

1 | 0 Having been warned by many that solar lighting does not deliver a very effective light I was very cautious about purchasing them. However, in this day and age who really wants to increase their electricity bills with the luxury of additional accent outdoor lights? But then again Solar lighting has to be the way forward when you consider the running and installation costs of traditional electric outside lighting .... It just seems a luxury we could do without. I am pleased to say that the many positive comments I came across on this website for these particular solar lights made me reassess my scepticism and so I took the plunge and bought a set. I followed the instructions to the T. Battery charging of the solar panel was left for three days in the sunniest spot I could find. Only after 72 hours did I hook the panel up to the lights. The quality of all the components is excellent and I am very impressed with the level of quality manufacturing. Even more impressive is the strength of light these little beauties gives off! It would be wonderful to one day see solar lighting produce a warmer glow than the stark LED white it produces now but until then I will happily live with these.....maybe some coloured filters could be added for dramatic effect? Bottom line : recommended product from very satisfied customer!

1 | 0 With hindsight I realise I should not have bought these lights for the place I have them, behind my garage lighting up an area where we park our bikes. The solar panel is 3m above the ground on the side of the garage, facing south.
Problem is this. The switch is on the solar panel which is too high off the ground to switch on and off except from a ladder. Which means that we leave the lights on all the time, even though we only need them when we are actually coming or going with a bike. In the winter there isn't much sunlight so not much charge, so the lights are dim at the start of the evening and go out pretty soon. In the summer it gets dark late, so by the time it is dark enough to need the light we have gone to bed anyway, leaving the lights blazing out.
I can see that in another position, say on a reachable pole in the middle of a sunny lawn, the solar panel would be easily switched on and off. In my case I have had to have it high because of fences and trees that the use of the switch is effectively barred to me.
If the on/off switch were on a cable which could be fixed at a reachable level one could save power by turning the lights off at the end of the evening instead of letting them drain the batteries every winter's night.
What I should have had for this position is what I have now installed successfully outside our back door, a light with a motion sensor which only comes on and uses battery power for a few seconds at a time, as needed. That's the Evo36 Solar Security light, an excellent buy.
