excellent lasting powerVerified Purchase
Just bought another 1 of these. It's quite true it is very plasticky. I was a bit disappointed when I had the 1st 1 but I've had it 4 or 5 years and it's still going strong.Never changed the battery even.Only now is the 'glass' discolouring. It looks much better than it feels. I'd certainly recommend but agree it is a bit overpriced perhaps.Really useful if you want a light to see to put the key in the door etc. By lyn jones on Dec 10,2014

Happy CustomerVerified Purchase
Ordered as a present for my mum's Victorian house as most solar lights look too modern for the style of house. It was plasticky but I had read reviews so was expecting it, but as others have said I don't think it will notice once its up. Incredibly quick delivery given I didn't select "next day" but it still arrived the next day! Thank you. By Alison on Dec 7,2014

Not as good as the rest of the lights
I've purchased several lights from the solar centre recently and most of them have been very good. I particularly like the Canterbury lights.
Unfortunately this particular light is not up to the standards of the rest. It is very plasticky and the build quality is very poor. Considering this costs a lot more than the Canterbury lights I wasn't very happy.
It's not bad enough to warrant sending it back but I also wouldn't recommend anyone else buys it. At £20 it would be much more acceptable By Chris Riches on Nov 19,2014

Solar power security lightVerified Purchase
Pretty good for the money. Attractive. Light is quite bright but can't really say it would put off a potential intruder. Much mor plasticky than I was expecting but once installed that doesn't really notice By R Barcan on Sep 28,2014

A+++++++++++
The solar light was sent and delivered quickly and was easy to fit. The light worked almost immediately and looked great day and night illuminated and is still working perfectly. Highly recommended By Richard on Jun 19,2014

Stylish Security LightVerified Purchase
Bought this for the side of the house to cover a dark corner and side gate. One bulb is on permanent and when motion is detected the lot comes on and I have to say that when that happens, its quite bright. Absolutely brilliant! By Roz Richardson on May 2,2014

Lovely stylish light outside my front door. Pleasantly surprised that it emits a dim light all night and when PIR is activated provides enough light for me to see keyhole. By Sue on Mar 13,2014

SatisfactoryVerified Purchase
Having found this light satisfactory I ordered a second one. It looks good and produces enough light for our requirements. Easy to set up and quickly stored enough power to last all night By Fiona Crow on Mar 10,2014

LimitedVerified Purchase
This light looks OK although somewhat plasticky. Unfortunatley I no longer use it as a welcome/security light at either the back or front door. It could not generate enough power to keep working through the night on either a south east or north west facing wall. Furthermore the pir is horizontal facing so placing the lamp at circa 4 ft high did not pick up movement our cat. I now intend to to order a flood light which I know works ok and can have the solar panel located away from the actual light. By Russell Armstrong on Mar 4,2014

Light over allVerified Purchase
I had one of these lights before, and I think they are terrific. Many PIR lights are very picky, and try not to work, but this one is very reliable. Thank you, and let us hope the storms don't blow this one away.. By Mary Corran on Feb 5,2014
