Only 4 stars as 1 of the 2 must have been a return that was then sent to me as the protective film on the solar panel was missing and the small rubber seal, where you remove the bottom to switch on the light, was in the bottom of the box and the cover was not properly fitted. Both work fine though.

1 | 0 Very happy with these lights. Really useful and a lovely design. Very simple to install. They save a lot of stumbling around in the dark! I use them in spots that need a little extra light when the main lights are off, or where it would be difficult/expensive to install a mains light. The sensors work really well. They give off a soft light and seem to work well in the winter. Mine are in fairly shady spaces but are still working in November. Just about to order another one.

Easy to fit, look stylish, gives out plenty of light, sensors very good, only works after dark when needed so no wastage on battery charge from them coming on in the daylight. 2 | 1 I bought a pair of these to mount either side of the front door. One worked perfectly out of the box but the other would switch on at dusk and stay on. I thought it may have been triggered by cars driving past (some 20 feet away) so I covered the top half of the sensor with some black tape and this seemed to work. No idea why this only happened on one lamp but seems fine now. Easy to mount and bright enough to make it easy to put the keys in the lock

3 | 0 This is an excellent quality light for the size. I bought this as a trial for lighting up the path at the rear where the wheelie bins are stored. It has worked extremely well as I have attached it to a concrete fence post using ‘PostFix†brackets. As soon as I step out to go to the bins it lights up to show me the way, consequently my trial has worked. I wish I was able to attach a photo to show what I mean.

After emailing customer support and sending a photograph they sent me a replacement with express delivery. They even let me keep the damaged one! Exemplary customer service. It gives a nice soft light and is an elegant design. I then ordered the other solar light, that's on all night, in order to illuminate some steps that can be treacherous if unaware. Very pleased with both products. Would highly recommend.

Being Solar I do not have to worry about the energy cost of being on all night. Very comforting from a security point of view.

There is another version that does not have the sensor, so make sure you order the preferred type. Delivery was quick and we were kept advised of delivery details in a professional manner. The lights them self are very impressive we have upgraded our old solar lights which were 15 years old and these Truro lights are very bright and work very well with motion sensor, will definitely be purchasing more in the very near future

Left for three days to charge as advised then turned it on. Wow, what a difference, we can now see to lock/unlock the door. Gives ample illumination and the PIR works a treat. Would recommend this to anyone.

I agree that it is very easy to cross thread the light fitting lens - I found the only way to guarantee getting it right was to hold the light vertically and allow gravity to do its stuff! The amount of light given off is just about sufficient for our purposes but it could do with being a little brighter. Overall I would definitely recommend and will probably purchase a couple more in the near future.

0 | 0 Excellent light so far, the only quibble I have is that it is very easy to cross-thread the light fitting lens when you turn the unit on. It takes me at least 4 attempts to get it on the right track. The threads are plastic so it would be very easy to ruin them. Other than that the light the unit gives off is mellow and perfect for above a doorway to aid getting your keys out etc.

The one I've just bought is for the shed, to give some light at the bottom of the garden. They are perfect for going out in the garden with the dog at night and for a bit of extra security. Good price and very easy to fit. I think we've probably run out of places to put them now, otherwise I'd buy more!

They took 4 days to charge and have worked perfectly since being turned on The light they provide is warm and powerful enough to light up the whole entrance. 0 | 0 I purchased 6 of these to put on posts in the garden. I bought them from here because I didn't want the lights on all the time. There was a very similar one in B&Q that was slightly cheaper but I'm so glad I bought them from here instead. Customer service was excellent and arrived on schedule. Fitted all 6 in about an hour. When it began to get dark the lights came on and then went off as expected. I walked through the garden and each turned on in sequence. 5 of the 6 worked straight away. The last one needed a bit of charge but worked absolutely fine the next day. The light itself is not too bright which is exactly what I wanted. In all. Definitely worth 5 stars I would certainly recommend to anyone. They do exactly as described in the description. I've also purchased 3 mood lights on a pre-order. Can't wait to get them in March. I hope they work as well as these.

Only downside for my situation is that the motion detection is too sensitive, have solved this by taping over part of the sensor, but it would be good to have some kind of adjustment built into the unit. Other than this I am very pleased with the purchase.

0 | 0 Delighted with this solar motion light. Lights up our front door enabling us to put the key in without fumbling about!! Was pleased with the service from the Solar Centre. Unfortunately this could not be said for the Courier DPD whose driver said he had delivered the light when he clearly had not. When I complained to our DPD local office (Crawley) the next day, low and behold within an hour or so the parcel was left on our doorstep, opened and sealed down again with parcel tape. I may order another of these lights but will request a different mode of delivery.

0 | 0 After messing around with some cheap, (and ultimately nasty!), solar lights, I've been delighted with the quality and performance of this one. It lights up the area around our lockable side entrance gate extremely well and has been very reliable so far. Good looking and a doddle to fit, I am struggling to find anything negative to write about this light, but if I were to be very picky it would be to mention the thread on the bottom cover. This needs to be removed to access the on/off switch and is very fine and easy to cross-thread, so care is needed to avoid damage. Otherwise, the light is perfect and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it.

0 | 0 I fitted a solar light with motion derecor and solar panel on a wooden telegraph pole at the end of my drive 60m from my house and it has greeted vistors for two years plus trouble free. On the strength of this I also fitted a Truro light on the fence halfway down the drive and its very useful. Although it is less than six feet high it still detects motion at about 5 or 6 m and because it is only on for a short time shines brightly. I like being able to choose from the two power settings. Great products at a decent price, Thank you.

The first one I bought died after some months use, and Solar Centre replaced it without quibble. No problems at all with the replacement. I now have two and am considering more. Will certainly consider purchasing further lights for other areas where its difficult to run electric supply to

1 | 0 I bought 4 of these lights. Generally I'm very pleased except that one of the lights has developed a fault and is no longer working properly. It stopped detecting motion and the light was permanently on but now it has stopped working all together.

4 | 1 I put the light up outside my back door and waited three days as instructed. Then I unscrewed the bottom of the lamp (very easy to do) and on it came as I opened the back gate. Perfect and that was on a three day charge in the depths of Winter. Would certainly recommend this product. The light is very bright!

0 | 0 I am in a new house on a Persimmons Estate, these are at a fantastic price compared with the expensive lighting offered by these rip off merchants. I have now bought 4 Truro solar motion light, they are excellent ,two by the front door one on the side of the house and one on my garage. These all work for me. I will give a further review in six months, but very impressed at this moment in time. I have looked at the other lights on offer by this company, and will be ordering in the spring for my garden.

0 | 0 I bought one of these wall lights to fit onto the corner of our new summer house, so impressed I bought two more to light up the side of our house when we use the side entrance. The lights provide plenty of light which is not harsh more of a soft white light & they were easy to fit. They look good as well.

0 | 0 I was dubious about this purchase after reading negative reviews on solar powered lights. I installed the light and waited three days before turning the power on. It's a winner I'm so happy with the brightness and the range of the sensor, I'm going to purchase a second light for the other side of the door. Blind all my visitors, Hopefully they'll get the message.

0 | 0 Bought this product which arrived next day. I have the sensor light near the house side door and it's non-sensor version at the front illuminating the house number. They look stylish and emit a lovely light, not harsh but strong enough to do the job they are designed for. Both charged and started working the same day they were installed.
